CURE for TMAU

could possibly help people with TMAU eliminate the tmau body odor?

i spoke to my friend who works in a medical research lab
and has friends who are chemists about this FMO3 ENZYME.
She told me ahe found a website that sells one gram of "FMO3 Antibody" (which is the same thing as an fmo3 enzyme pill) online for $349.
just One GRAM!
THEN she said "tmau has no good treatments because it must not look profitable enough to the major pharmacudicals because its such a rare disease"

This is an interesting thread.

I asked Dr Lachmann about some of these ideas/issues 2 or 3 years ago during a consultation. He had not heard of Ataluren, and he said the problem with introducing enzyme replacement therapy was that it was not guaranteed to work - most specifically that the FMO3 may not be taken up even if it does reach its destination. I asked if cost was a factor in investigating this approach ...

Perhaps it would be a good question to ask at the forthcoming TMAU webinar at the Rareconnect site in September 2013, as, 3 years on, ideas about Ataluren or even enzyme replacement therapy may have changed/progressed.

It would also be very interesting to know if anyone has had any success with the FMO3 antibody mentioned.It would be useful to know the best way of taking the FMO3 antibody and the best dosage. In short, this is an area which needs to be properly researched.

Omggggggg after 24 years of bad breath and body odor
I am now odor free!!!!! ☺️My story is just like some of u. My odor would come during stressful moments, b4 my period or sometimes for no reason at all. I work in a hospital and my coworkers talk about me something awful. They avoid me like the plague. The family members of some patients would hold their noses or look at me in an angry manner. My friends would say things like "what's that smell or It smells like shit in here."?? Standing on any line or sitting on the bus drew unwanted attention. I have knots all in my back from being so tense all day with stress because of this. I'm 46 now and the odor had gotten worse over the last year or so.
My life was pure hell!!!?
Good thing my husband and children don't smell anything at all.
Now I've been to about 14 diff doctors (GI x 3, dentist x3, dermatologist x1, GP x2 infectious disease x1, ENT x3 psychiatrist x1
They all thought I was crazy. I had my tonsils removed,ears cleaned, Colon cleansing, liver cleans, special deodorants, all kinds of supplements, candida diet, antibiotics, probiotics, low choline diet, copper, chlorophyll, lotions
and bleach baths. Nothing worked!!!
So I prayed very hard for a cure or at least to mask the odor. While searching the internet I came across this combination that does work!!!?

This is my daily routine
1. I take kelp 150 mg and zink 100 mg. (AM)
2. One cup of orange juice with 2 tsp of maca (AM)
3. One cup of black tea with two tea bags - no sugar (AM)
4. 8 ounce bottle of spring water with two tsp of baking soda with breakfast (AM)
5. One cup of black tea two tea bags- no sugar (Noon)
6. 8 ounce bottle of spring water with two tsp of baking soda with lunch (Noon)
7. Sip on spring water & baking soda through out the day while chewing gum!
NOW THERES NO ORDOR!!!!

I eat regular foods through out the day ( no restrictions)
I had a week consisting of
1. pre menstruation,
2. a busy & sweaty day
3. A nerve wrecking meet
All are the worst times for me and I had no BO!!!!
I'm elated, ecstatic and joyously humble. I'm assuming so are my coworkers?
I just want to thank God for giving me a resolution to my problem!?❤️

I've always known about TMAU sufferers was due to our liver and how it doesn't respond to foods such as a person with a normal liver,But never have I heard of there being a pill that can possibly cure it.That sounds worth the try,except the price is too much and should be free for all who experience any malodor problems.Thanks A lot Mona!

black tea made my smell worse. Recently I started having FBO and ARM PIT ODOR that smells like onions. ALL THIS after drinking black tea. The smell has also started affecting my private parts and when its real bad, my breath. I have no idea if black tea is bad for some but definitely stay away from it if you dont feel different or notice any changes

Has anyone tried this? I know this thread is four years old, but it sounds like this could be something that really could help us. The price is just insane.
If anyone has tried taking the FMO3 pill can we please get an update? Is it a pill you have to take one time only, or once a day?
