Welcome to the group, nobdyhears. Yeah, my odor issue definitely worsened with the onset of puberty-it tends to fluctuate in strength over time.

I have never been too good at socializing because of this. I do actually work in a customer-oriented retail job and have do deal with a lot of people but it is a very shallow, routine type of socializing. Hell, most of my co-workers are people who are superficially friendly to my face and then make rude and hurtful comments about my odor issues behind my back or when they think I am not hearing them. I don't have any close friendships with anyone and I have never been on a date in my life. Oh, I hear you about the loneliness! It tends to gnaw at you at the worst possible times!

Well is good that your able to hold down a job despite this problem. Being in a relationship is difficult because it affects ones self esteem and confidence. My family don't understand nor people around they just think its an hygiene problem which hurts. So basically i prefer to keep myself to myself instead of being humiliated all the time. The other day I actually managed to go the cinema by myself didn't want to drag anyone along with me.Apart from work what do you do in your spare time? Do you follow any particular diets?

Well, I tend to keep to myself a lot in my personal life too. It is a learned habit from having dealt with an annoying problem like this for so long. I read, try and go on long walks when I have the energy, and hang out with my mother and pet pit bull, Rocky. They are the only two who really have a good tolerance for me regardless of how strong or unpleasant my odor is. Diet-wise, I have majorly cut down on the amount of sugar, dairy, and alcohol I am consuming. I was contemplating maybe becoming a vegetarian recently but have yet to take that particular plunge so to speak. I will warn you that if you have a fecal body-odor problem, and develop diabetes, be careful around a widely-used drug called metformin. I believe it helped to worsen my body odor problem last year up to that point that it was starting to drive me a little crazy mentally. There hardly wasn't a day that some customer or co-worker was making a crack about " fart smells coming from him" " he needs to take a shower" he smells like pee and shit" etc. It was quite hard on me mentally. I can really empathize with you, nobodyhears, and, yes, maybe nobody else hears you, but we do!

yh its nice to have people that understand. I've been to all sorts of doctors they all say there's nothing wrong weird!I also try to keep away from sugar and dairy product but its not easy.Taken a lot of supplements over the years spent a lot of money.Nothing much seems to change.Just try to keep busy to bring down my anxiety because stress makes the smell worse.

Yeah, I hear you, man! I am glad you are motivated to stay busy. If nothing else changes, at least it could help keep you physically healthy, and, like myself, better physical health tends to lead to a better mental outlook. Which supplements are you using right now?

I have been doing okay. I, too, have started to take supplements daily. Right now I am taking the following supplements: Vitamin B12 in a pill form; Alpha Lipoic Acid to help with my diabetes; Vitamin D3 and milk thistle. I was taking some chlorophyll tablets and an internal deodorant for my fecal odor problems but I feel that the last two offered, at best, mixed results.

Good I am glad you are OK.I haven't tried vitamin D before. I'm trying to keep away from sugary foods as much as possible that's my weakness especially when I'm going through bad patch tend to eat a lot of sugar which makes it worse.
