Hi my names mona. I'm engaged and i live in a house with four other people.
Recently one of my roommates started getting bad breath. All my roommates drink often but one particular roommate drinks everyday/smokes cigs, drinks until drunk and has been drinking this way for 3 years.
I noticed when the roommie who drinks/smokes every day went to the bathroom and came back there was no smell but as soon as the roommie started eating some candy I could smell a faint smell of diarrhea. The smell was coming from the breath but it wasn't the kind of bad breath that lingers like mine or others on this board. This roommie has developed chronic bad breath in the past few weeks and I am surprized to say I have smelled this same diarrhea breath on myself after bowel movements.
The long winded point I'm trying to make is, if candida makes alcohol and alcohol damages the liver... AND alcoholics who drink alcohol also damage their liver...
Could most of the people on this board have a problem with candida/alcohol?
let me know what you all think

UPDATE:
My roommate's breath smelled really bad yesterday. It was strong too. Smelled like dog poop. I thought it was me, even thought perhaps one of us had stepped on dog poop and tracked it into the house. My lower lip started burning a little bit. I wasn't particularly offended by the smell because we were in a car and all the windows were open. I wonder if it's a dental issue? I know the roommie had two bridges put in last year which fell out this year. The smell cleared up about 1-2 hours later but wow.. I really am hoping that smell didnt come from my roommie. I would HIGHLY DISLIKE IT if the smell took over their life.. I dont want it to ruin yet another life :-(
