I've suffered from moderate vaginal odor since I was around 12. The only thing I've found that works for it is boric acid powder. I use it the way you would use baby powder. It worked instantly. Within the first day I noticed I was fresh all day long. It never fails me. But if I don't use it the smell returns.

Thanks so much for posting this. I've also suffered for vaginal odor from a very young age. I've just been researching about boric acid among other things to try. It's great to hear that you have had success with it.
Thanks again

Hi there,
I haven't tried it, but from researching online boric acid is recommended in medical journals as a form of treatment for (i think) bacterial vaginosis... as is genetian violet. I have read that genetian violet is not as strong as boric acid. It might be worthwhile to try genetian violet first to see if it helps. It is purple and will stay purple on your skin for a few days but will most definitely disappear after that. I have used it before (not down below yet). Maybe do a patch test somewhere first to be on the safe side!
I found it the information on books on amazon. i was able to have a quick look in some of the medical books from putting "boric acid" in the books search engine.

Hi luckyhope do you use the powder on your underwear all day? does it sting. ive read about repeated exposure leading to poisoning so im kind of scared. how did you use it to get results? People use it as a suppository and on their underwear. I use it on my underwear. The way you would use baby powder. I've been using it for years and never got poisoned. It doesn't sting at all. It keeps things dry so after a while your vagina could feel dry from using it. Boric acid powder is very safe to use. It's the main ingredient in eye drops. People have been using it for bacterial vaginosis for a very long time. So don't worry about it. I think people get caught up in the name. They think because it has the word acid in it that it's dangerous. Boric acid powder is a bacteria and fungal retardent. So it basically keeps the bacteria and fungus from growing on the skin. I've used it on my whole body with no adverse effects. You can use it in your shoes if your feet smell. It's a wonderous powder. I can't live without it.

I wouldn't recommend it for itchy skin because it can be drying. It may cause more itch and irritation. If the over the counter itch creams like hydrocordisone, or monistat don't help I would see a gyno, or doctor.
