Good day to all forum members. My name is Glenn Taylor and I am from the Taymount Clinic. On our website analytics, we have noticed visits directly to our website (www.taymount.com) from the BreathandBodyOdour forum.
We are one of less than a dozen facilities in the world that provide Faecal Microbiota Transplants for conditions other than Clostridium difficult infection (C.diff). I have also had more than a handful of enquiries from individuals making enquiries about the efficacy of FMT as a treatment for TMAU.
This may come as a disappointment to some, but we just do not know yet if FMT is effective with TMAU. We have been practising Gut Microbiota manipulation for 11 years and FMT for 3 years now. Originally FMT was a very infrequent treatment only performed when we were asked to do so. Following two years of very specific research and development into Food Microbiology, we made a conscious decision to focus almost wholly on FMT which has been our primary aim for the last year. Impotantly, to date we still have not treated any TMAU so we do not have any experience of whether the treatment is capable in modifying the Microbiome sufficiently to affect the way that the body produces FMO3 and metabolise Trimethylamine.
That is not to say that the process does not work, we just have absolutely no experience in that specific field.
The object of our membership, as we have done in other groups, is to act as a reliable source of information on a specific treatment and perhaps to point members geographically to their nearest practitioner if it is a treatment that they want to explore..
I am sorry that I cannot come on to this site and say that this is a treatment that works; "roll up, roll up get your cure here" because that would be grossly unfair and unethical. We simply perform FMT and would be delighted to answer any questions.
