so here's some input... I believe my case is stomach related, most likely dysbiosis or allergy to certain foods. I find sticking to anti-candida diet make me feel overall better and I believe this reduces my odor too. It's really difficult to say, because I can't smell myself clearly but have become aware of this problem from other people's direct and indirect comments. Sometimes when my nose is clear, i can smell myself when I go to the shower. Sort of sulphuric or salty smell. I am suspecting that eating eggs may strengthen the smell (the next day).
On the moment i'm avoiding fructose, and i am feeling much less sweaty than before. I'm using sweat blocker because without it I sweat so much and usually my underarm sweat doesn't smell like other people's but like garbage or it has the mentioned sulphuric smell too.
I find exercising very helpful, it makes me sweat less afterwards. Curiously enough, my exercise-sweat doesn't seem to be as offensive as my normal smell.
I have been tested for tmau, dimethylglycinurea, gut bacterial flora, yeasts, liver and pancreas function, helicobacter (had it but it was cured), parasites, normal blood tests (vitamins and stuff), diabetes, coeliac disease, lactose intolerance; and everything is normal.
What isn't normal is my stomach which is aching or upset quite often, loose stools, often difficulties digesting foods e.g. peas, eggs, strawberries, heartburn. It has been like this for over a decade. I did have helico but it was cured, still the symptoms have come back. Doctors haven't found the reason. Basically i'm diagnosed as ibs, though i dont have diarrhea. I avoid gluten even though i haven't been diagnosed with coeliac disease, because gluten makes my stomach worse. I have also chronic prostatitis which comes and goes and doesn't seem to be related to odor but what do i know.
As many other here my odor too seems to worsen if i eat spicy foods, especially curry. Coffee comes straight through my skin.
That's all in my head now, sorry for a bit messed up post.
