I've never seen anyone take a survey on everyone's weight, so I decided to do it. I think maybe it might give us an insight on what could be causing our odor problem besides tmau.
I want to know if you are very underweight, skinny, normal weight or obese. And I mean what size were you BEFORE you began the low choline diet? I don't want to know what your weight was after the low choline diet, but before. So, when you FIRST began to notice your odor problems what size were you?
Also, what were your eating habits? How often did you eat and how many calories do you think you ate a day? I've been used to eating 140-500 calorie diet mostly half of my life before this odor thing started, and I guess my body was in starvation mode. I don't know, but I've been trying to take a survey to see what we all seem to have in common.
Please let me know what you think, love ya!!

I've always been pretty normal weight, but I would at the time I was maybe on the upper end of normal.
I ate a lot. I'm pretty tall, though. I really have no idea how many calories at that time but probably like 2000 calories, and I would eat often. I subscribed to the "eat five times a day" or "keep your metabolism burning" belief.
I ate a lot of what I thought at the time was healthy food for me to eat: beans, broccoli, eggs, a lot of veggies, fish, also a lot of beef (a lot of times the beef was organic grass-fed) (everything I should not eat now!!!). I was eating a lot of protein because I was lifting weights and working out and stuff, too. But along with the healthy food I also ate a lot of junk food: chips, pop, baked goods, chocolate, etc. Also drank what I would call socially, but not at all anymore b/c of this.
I'm also pretty active generally, more then than now actually. I've been a runner off and on most of my life and a lot of other "social" type sports, and have pretty much always worked out with weights kind of off and on all my life. You know how you really get into it, then you get off track a little, then find your way back to it! But I've always done social type sports, so fairly active.
I did get really into fitness and working out and eating a lot of protein bars and shakes and supplements too. Not sure what all was contained in that. I know some of it was whey protein. And what is that other ingredient? L-Carnitine maybe??? A lot of EAS products.
I know you weren't asking this, but I have a harder time now losing weight. I hear about a lot of people losing weight on this diet, but I don't understand.
I used to be able to just eat a lot of veggies and fish and beans and lose weight. Now I'm eating white rice and potatoes and cereal and horribly unhealthy stuff and not eating the healthy stuff hardly at all like I used to, like broccoli and brussels sprouts, spinach, fish, eggs, etc.
Possiblehelp, I appreciate your persistance and tenacity in looking for answers!!!

Hi, I have been always skinny, no matter how much I ate, but I never liked sweet that much, even as a child I prefered salty foods or other tastes to sweet.

Hi, Before the odor started the first couple times (it has gone away and come back x3) I was eating a lot of sugar and dairy probably 2300 plus calories a day and weighed about 10 pounds heavier than I normally weigh-except the first time the odor started, then I weighed a little under what I normally do. The first two times I got the odor it went away after avoiding dairy. Now, it doesn't. I'm starting to think it will maybe take longer this time though?
