A friend of mine suggested that I should look into acidic foods cause she read somewhere that eating acidic foods and having an acidic body can intensify odors. Having a really acidic body can make people smell your body odour form across the street.Does anyone know if it's okay to take alkanizing pills and if those actually have worked for someone? Is this true? But don't alkanizing pills have a lot of salt in them? Right now I would try anything cause this curse is taking over my mind and life. :-Angel

Hi Angel
Your friend is talking about the alkaline diet devised by Dr Robert Young - I'm reading his book 'The pH Miracle' currently. The book posits that acidity is the root of almost all illness and that acidity is the precondition and environment that allows microforms like yeast and fungus to proliferate.
I believe this diet may be useful for some people myself included, however you've posted this in the TMAU section, TMA is alkaline so this diet may not be so important for somebody with TMAU, but who knows. I'm not sure about odour but my digestion feels better following this diet. Some nutritionists like it, it seems to help me and several people use supplements like chlorophyll, chlorella, spirulina for odour, although this diet favours grasses over chlorella and spirulina.
You can take supplements, but the diet is primary. Good: green leafy veg, cucumber, alfalfa, veg in general, veg juices. Bad: Dairy, sugar, red meat especially, meat, alcohol, vinegars, caffeine. Supplements: Barley grass, wheat grass, alkaline salts, chlorophyll.
