after each meal seems to get rid of my bad breath. I say seems for a reason. I used to be able to smell my breath every now and then depending on which way the wind was blowing I guess. I now that I keep lemons with me and squeeze a half of one into my mouth after each meal, I seem okay. I also used to go to the restroom, wash my hands, then swipe a finger at the back of my throat. It smelt like sewage. Now that I use the lemon, I just don't smell it. So, as far as I can tell, the lemon juice works. I just worry about the acid wearing my tooth enamel away. But I just don't want bad breath.
Every morning, I take a fresh lemon, cut it in half and put it in a ziploc bag. After breakfast on the go, I squeeze one half. This keeps me until lunch. After lunch I do the same. Keeps me till I get home. I don't drink anything or eat anything that would wash the lemon away.
