Hey First, I really feel for you. As somebody who went to school smelling bad I know how rough it can be. Here's a list of tmau international testing labs that might be of some use - www.bloodbornebodyodorandhalitosis.com/p/international-tmau-testing-labs.htmlIf I may give you a word of advice though I wouldn't focus too much on tmau. Maybe you do have it but statistically the odds are that you don't. There are probaly loads of conditions which gives rise to body odour, tmau is just one of them. If I was you my first step would be to focus on my diet and see is there any food whicg makes your problem worse. Milk and red meat are very common trigger foods for people like us. Also google the low fodmaps diet, that has helped a lot of people. Have you suffered body odour for a very long time now or is it a more recent problem?

Hey first93, so sorry to here your problems. there is an international section on this forum maybe there is someone in it that speaks your language. It might be worth looking to see. To answer your question about treating this disorder. The uk a socialist health care system called the NHS, I don't know how it works for international citizens wanting to get treated on it so you would need to look at that. I don't know much about the USA medical system other that it is private health care. However I think I remember seeing on the bloodbornbody odour site that you can get test internationally by posting a sample to a lab in the states. Check out the site www.bloodbornebodyodorandhalitosis.com and look on the right hand site of the page for MEBO Research International TMAU Test Program Application Provided by the Cleveland Clinic As for your second question london to sheffield is a couple of hundred miles guess it would take a few hours by train no more but you dont need to go to sheffield to get tested or treated. Tests can all be carried out through the post and treatment can be done through Dr. Lachmann in london. Hope that helps, good luck my friend :-)

Hi First, actually that was Adrian there who very helpfully provided the link. Extremely sorry I haven't replied sooner. Your description about how your life is at the moment really brought me to tears both because it is so sad with what you have to go through at the moment and it also reminds me so much of what it was like for me growing up. Unfortunately I'm still not better but at least now I have a car so I never use public transport and am more able to avoid public situations. I do get lonely a lot of the time but thankfully I do have some very nice cousins who I meet pretty regularly. Sorry but other than Adrian's suggestion I wouldn't know if there is a quicker way to get tested for tmau. To be honest I think that's your best bet at the moment. If I may give you some advice there may be a few things you might do which possibly could be of some help to you. I know you said you abstained from eating meat for a while but if I was you I would give up eating all red meat for a few months and all milk/dairy as well. With all my other meals I would take some digestive enzymes and be very careful to chew my food properly. Lack of vitamin b12 is said to cause b.o. so you probably need to take a vitamin b supplement. Also think about taking a natural antifungal like caprylic acid or grapefruit seed extract. Maybe you could ask your doctor to give you an antibiotic like metronidazole? Probiotics can help a lot in some cases. VSL#3 is known as an excellent probiotic, I wonder can you get your hands on it in Thailand? If you do be warned it can cause a lot of gas when you take it first so maybe start taking it when you have a few days off school. You know if you think you might have tmau you should give the low choline diet a try. Also there is a relatively new diet called the low fodmaps diet which has been of some use to people if you would like to google it. I really feel if you do all these things after maybe a month or so there is a good chance your condition might improve a lot. but then again what works for some won't work for others. One more thing try and use instead of normal soap special antibacterial soap. You must be under so much stress, I know Thailand is a Buddhist country - do you do much meditation? Relaxation exercises like that can help a lot. Anway i'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you, at least you've come to a good place here on this forum, wish it was around when I was 15. Please let us know how you're getting on and what treatment plan you decide on. Hopefully it will provide some good results.

Now my school is postponement because of flood in my country and i am going to test through the post. For you tintin, you are so very lucky that can avoid public situation. For me in Thailand the education is not like europe country when the semester is begin they study 8 hours per day and in the holiday, most of student must take extra tutorial class for 4 or 5 hours and me too. when the end of the semester everyone must take extra tutorial class In thailand their is a very high competition in a education i must study hard for going to the university. So i cannot avoid a public situation. All the time i feel like i am in the hell or some thing. you are luckier than me. sorry tintin but in your case i would like to ask you that are you tmau? and if you are tmau its mean that this disease is not curable? p.s. thank adrian for give me a great website and your advise p.s2. thank tintin for everything you advise me i will try and i wish everything that you help me make your body odor gone, goodluck
