There's plenty of websites stating that low vitamin b12 can cause unpleasant body odor. But my question is what type of unpleasant body odor does it cause? And do some of you think that this problem may be connected to our issue? It says low vitamin b12 causes bad b.o people don't usually talk about this though. I know low b2 has been connected to tmau so maybe b12 is connected too? Maybe all the b vitamins is all connected to body odor? What do you guys think about this? I would like some feed back because people don't usually answer questions here they just look at the questions and go on about the're business without giving a little feed back, I know this because I always see that the questions have at least 100 views but only one answer. I just want to team up with everyone and try to speed up the process of us figuring out what is going on with our bodies. Please let me know something, thanks guys.

Yes, I've heard of this, but I do not know what the odor would smell like or how strong. If it helps, I'm severely deficient in B12 and have to take injections every week.

Interesting, I am also deficient in B12 since my childhood and I had to take injections at one point of my life.

Hi Possiblehelp, I will look into the link between vitamin B12 and body odour. But I will do this later on when I have more time and resources since I want to look into it properly Arun

Hi Re vit b12. In the book 'breaking the vicious cyle' which is about the Specific Carbohydrate diet - the author says that malabsorption of vitamin B12 is very often part of chronic intestinal disorders.
The book is really good even you do not intend going on the SC diet. You can get second hand copies on Amazon for a couple of pounds - it is worth a read as it explains how the intestinal tract works, what can go wrong, the effects of diet etc.
Hope this helps.

Hey that's interesting Livininhope. I think people with chronic gut disorders (IBS, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis etc) may easily become deficient in these sort of vitamins. If the book is useful then we can add it to our reading list of list of useful books. Arun
