Hi all, I'd like to bring to everybody's attention a book which I recently got : it's called A New IBS Solution - Bacteria the missing link in treating irritable bowel syndrome by Dr Mark Pimentel. As you can see from the title it's focused on ibs; actually I saw it strongly recommended on an ibs forum which is why I bought it. Unfortunately it doesn't mention anything about having an odour condition in the book and I don't think it will provide all the answers to our problems, for instance when talking about diet it says you can eat any type of meat as long as it's not processed which I know is definately not appropriate advice for me and I guess a lot of people on here. However the book is basically about small intestinal bacterial overgrowth - it's causes, the hydrogen breath test that can detect it and various treatments. The more I read about our symptoms the more I'm convinced sibo lies at the heart of many of our conditions, it might not be the whole explanation but is a big part of it. For example I read somebody saying how bacterial odours are able to travel quite a long way which would explain in my case anyway how people can smell me from a good distance. So if you want to do any more research on sibo this book is a really good place to start.
