hi gang. i'm new to the group. i was driven here because my DR's don't seem to know too much about it. this affliction has destroyed my career as i am supposed to work in a small room of people for long hours. and within the last 2 years people comment on my odor. it's devastating. i may have to switch my career and lose my job as a result. devastating.
anyway, i'm here to find answers and hopefully cures. i'm in the stage of buying and trying everything. i'm spending a fortune on everything. i'm new, i'm ignorant and i need your help. thank you all.
I have fair skin and am trying the drysol but i'm not sure if it's helping. i feel like some of the odors are coming from groin sweat too which seems to be a whole other ball game. i've been sneaking away at lunch to shower again and my skin is starting to feel dried out. 95% of my day to day efforts are devoted to this which leaves 5% for work. it's tragic across the board.

I think diet must have a lot to do with. Try detoxing naturally - drink lots of water and eat vegetables and fruit mainly for a week or two. Take a very long walk every day. Should see a major change in body odour relatively fast. Deodorants are not the solution, cleansing your body from within is probably a better long term solution Thank you. i'm a 38 year old Single White Male and i'm going to try the diet approach (in addition to all the other things). I just stopped the coffee, (which has been devastating for me) and i sadly will have to drop chocolate. I have a huuuuuge sweet tooth. But if i want to keep my job, i need drastic changes. Diet, could you give us tips on what to eat? any proteins? is it all just vegetables i can put in a blender? if i do organic kale, spinach and make a smoothie, is that okay? any solid foods you can recommend? can you outline some potential "clean" foods suggestions? i've read repeatedly that lemons and limes help applied to underarms and i think i'll go to Whole Foods to get Lemon and Lime juice for water. thank you!

Coconut oil. Coconut oil is a natural antibacterial and antifungal. If you naturally have a strong odor, mix coconut oil with a little bit of baking soda and cornstarch...I personally use only the oil since the powder substance irritate my underarms. Good luck

I found when I was eating a lot of flaxseed that I had terrible body odor. I never had this problem before and when I stopped having flaxseed the body odor went away. I would definitely say it's something you eat.

I've always found a homopathic doctor helpful in treating any deficiency my body needs. I would think if your problem is really bad, this would be worth a try. Good luck!

Hello, my onion smell started as soon as I hit puberty around 11 ish.. It was horrible but it got better and I started reeking again horribly RIGHT after I got married :/ Iam now a 26 yr old thin woman and smelling like a overweight, filthy, old man just isn't sexy.. It's been 7 years now and I have been stinking since, It's been so embarrassing I've seen doctors, dermatologists, I've tried EVERY deo and they just make me STINK even MORE horribly to the point where even as I was IN the shower scrubbing and scrubbing to the point where my armpits were blazing red and painful I WAS STILL STINKInG even at that moment.. Ive tried powder, hand sanitizer, fungal creams, alcohol, all natural deos, clinical strength deos.. etc.. i stink everytine. What helped me for a while was this crystal salt that I found at a herbal store, it really took care of the smell for at least 8-10 hrs and then I could sense I would start to smell a bit again.. The thing I've done now for the last few years has been lemon , (the green ones, maybe limes?? Idk)) I cut a small fresh piece of lemon every morning making sure my pits were cleaned or after showering , I do not smell ((most days)) with the lemon and it will last all day.. But you best believe I will be stinking come morning time regardless of me showering & lemoning right before bed :/ I've been managing good with the lemon and if we travel somewhere and I don't have my lemons on hand I carry the crystal salt as a back up (they also make it in a spray) I have also been using this thing that was prescribed by a dermatologist called Clyndamicin Phosfate foam, it kills bacteria & honestly I don't feel it helps a whole lot but since its covered by my insurance and I do feel good "believing" that it kills some bacteria from my Pitts I use it as that extra umph.. anyway.. Hope this helps anyone, just thought I'd share JIC it could help someone

HI,
I have also suffered from this problem, and discovered it was a by-product of having candida (too much yeasts in your system). To heal candida you need to get off all yeast, dairy and fruit. Basically all sugars encourage growth.
Also try over the counter candida detox kits, which contain herbs to help kill off the candida.
Hope that helps.

Antiperspirants give cancer

Well,"antiperspirants" GIVE YOU CANCER as when you use them you are not letting the sweating glands cleanse. You should use a very powerful deodorant, because deodorants don't clog your sweat glands, but never ever use antiperspirants. If your sweating is so intense, then I recommend you to use deodorants for sport activities (like "Old Spice -High Endurance Sport-"; those ones are more powerful than the regular deodorants. And while in the shower, wash your armpits gently daily with soap and water. You will be fine. If you see you smell again a few hours after you applied the deodorant, then apply more deodorant and you will be ok. Hugs.

They contain chemicals that not only cause cancer but a whole other myriad of issues.

THE CURE THE CURE THE CURE hi all, Consult a DR before proceeding iv had the same problem for almost a year. i went to Drs, changed my diet, tried meds, lotions, spray, deodorant you name it everything. searched the internet and dozens of people had the same problem but no cure. Promised myself if i ever got treated ill help other people like me, and finally after a year i now have the cure that a friend prescribed and guess what it worked please help others by spreading the word and please consult your Dr first about it as i have tried it on myself and it worked but it may have negative affects on others. Get those 2 meds, have a shower twice a day, dry the area spray 1 pump of each spray on armpits. Lamisil Spray Amikacin Spray (couldn't find it in my country but my friend told me that i can find it in egypt so iv told another friend was goin there for a holiday to bring it) i cant believe it ... no smell am confident again and i started to appreciate the little things in life after being embarrassed from that smell and always being at home could go to gym could go to gatherings .. hope it help you guys

I’m no hippie, but be careful with the chemicals you apply to your body. pills, chemicals, solutions? are you nuts?! i stopped wearing deodorant entirely in fear of the amount of chemical, and since have the "onion" odor in my right pit only. got me thinking... what have i been trapping in my body for all these years with antiperspirant? Stop consuming fast food, processed foods, etc and change your diet. I’d rather live a long fulfilling life than one cut short in attempt to bury insignificant natural issues. Read the labels on your products. If you don’t know what it is, look it up! if you still don’t know what it is after that, don’t put it on or in your body! antibacterial soap is included in this warning. don't use it... you don't need it and it does far more harm than good(both in breeding bacteria and to your hormones).

70% iso alcohol.. put it on a cotton ball and clean your armpit. Should take the smell away that minute. Clean armpits every other day. Or maybe every few days.
Can also use the hand sanitizer, that kills 99.8% of bacteria.
Works like a charm. I haven't smelled the onion smell in a month of cleaning them like this. I workout everyday at least one hour of run or physical sweating activity!
