(Edited for privacy reasons. Here's a short version: I used to suffer from hyperhydrosis in my armpit area. About two years prior to creating this post, my armpits started getting chronically, abnormally smelly. Apart from this issue, I also have social phobia, depression, issues with my appearance, and lack of self-love. Is there anyone here that also suffers from these things?)

Thank you for sharing your story. I too have social phobia because of this body odor issue, hopefully I will conquer it soon enough

Hi what, I have dealt with depression most of my life, along with fibro and chronic fatigue. Have to admit it got a LOT worse with this disorder, but has been better lately. It might be worth seeing a Dr about your depression / disliking yourself, you would be surprised that life can look good again.
I have heard some people have had surgery to remove the sweat glands from under their arms and has worked well for the sweating. It did not seem to help with odor though, and sweating has sometimes migrated to other areas of the body. Welcome to the forum and best luck to you!

Thanks for the responses, guys. Hope things get better for you. gabby: I'd like to talk to someone about my depression and everything (I know I really need it), but I can't at the moment because I don't have a job and (I hate to be making excuses, but) I pretty much don't have one because of my BDD-like symptoms (I don't think I have BDD, but I've been told I have many of the symptoms) and social anxiety. I don't think I need surgery for my sweating problem because it pretty much is under control with the antiperspirant I use; and I actually heard that can happen with antiperspirants as well, sweating migrating to other parts of the body, but thankfully, it's never happened to me. I have come to feel like I have an odor problem, though. Like I said, I can't say it's really, really bad, but it is bothersome. I seriously can't eat sugar, which I guess it's okay because it's not like it's any good for me, but...ugh. I don't know if there's anything else that makes me smelly, but this definitely does... I am so unbelievably flawed...
