I saw this post on a blog/forum: A Dutch Academic hospital Radboud UMC is offering the Trimethylaminuria test for local and international patients. This might be an alternative solution, if the test is not available in the patients home country. In addition the laboratory is also offering a Malodour syndromes test for patients with possible other odour conditions than TMAU. A referral from a physician is required for both tests! The recommended procedure for the TMAU test is to apply for the DNA (genetic test) first, however the urine (choline-load test) is also available and a combination of both the Urine as the DNA test is possible. The cost for the DNA and urine test is 400 Euro's, so approximately 480 Dollars* These prices can change every year, according to Dutch Insurance regulation policies. Physicians can order the Trimethylaminuria test through the following link: order.radboudumc.nl/en/products/conditions/metabolic-disorders/trimethylaminuria Or they can fill out a form: drive.google.com/file/d/1OTyqa4K7QqsAFcHI8iQPyP12LMeLP5cW/view?usp=sharing And send it to the following address: Radboudumc Laboratory for Diagnostics PO Box 9101 Internal Post 815 6500 HB Nijmegen The Netherlands
