I have always been a supersocial person but 3 years ago I have slowly developed smelly feet that is so bad it gives me headache. Even after washing it smells pungent. Im pretty sure its a bacterial infection as Ive never had this problem in my life before. As stupid as it is it unfortuntely has a huge negative impact on my life.
Ive tried everything from antibiotics (fucidine) to zinc tablets... now Im thinking to put liquid probiotics on my feet and also take probiotics after every meal. My understanding is I have a certain strain of bacillus subtilis on my feet that is causing the offending smell.
So im looking for liquid or normal probiotics that contains bacillus subtilis. Im hoping that the different strains of same bacteria will fight for their place, thus reducing the odor causing one.
Does anybody have suggestions on probiotics brands with these kind of bacteria?
Also any other suggestion is very welcome!
Ive been putting my life on hold to find the cure. If not for this i know my career would have been on a fast track. However I promised myself to find the cure, and make sure I live the life I want!

Hi
Like you I suffer from this problem, but also at times odour from other parts as well.
My feet sweat really badly but using sweat blocks seemed to make the smell worse. One thing I did discover was that under my small toe on my right foot and sometimes in between I would develop a tiny cut, really small, you had to pull toe back to see it. If I touched this and smelled my finger it was stinking, so obviously bad bacteria. I believe this is small cut(s) was causing the smell to travel across the room, and my chiropodist said it was athlete's foot (I always thought althlete's foot was skin peeling and sores but I am wrong).
I inspect my feet every day looking for cuts, damaged skin and I regularly apply athlete's foot cream and/or powder as a preventative measure. I also run my finger around/under all my toes and sniff to see if I missed anything.
Also I use a Pedegg (the hard skin remover you buy from shop), at least once a week to get rid of any hard/dead skin, and I use a pumice stone daily again to keep the hard skin at bay (bad bacteria feed on dead skin).
Also every day I wash my feet as normal in the bath, then I use a basin and wash my feet with Hibiscrub (wash, rinse and then wash again leaving on for ten minutes then rinse off). This is the antibacterial wash surgeons use to clean their hands before operations.
I would mention that I read a post on the internet from a man whose son developed smelly feet and he cleaned the skin with antibacterial washes etc then applied probiotic yogurt, and eventually the odour went away. Possibly because he changed the bacteria on the skin, or maybe there was some fungal infection there?
One big reason you can get athlete's foot or smelly feet is because of your diet - you might have an overgrowth of candida. So try to clean up your diet by cutting out sugars, sweets, cakes, biscuits etc. There is plenty of info on anti-candida diet on internet check out and choose what suits you.
Also I read that bacteria talks to one another, so if you have bad gut bacteria, chances are it will also be on your feet. So by cleaning up your diet and changing the bad bacteria to good bacteria should help.
For info some people steep their feet nightly with different things, such as tea bags, epsom salts, vinegar etc plenty on internet if its something you want to try.
Hope this helps, please let us know how you get on.
