Hi,
I posted a few years ago on this forum, but my post seems to have been removed(?!?!) Why-t-f someone would remove it is beyond me.
Anyway, an update...
I developed apocrine bromidrosis in my early 20s(around 1999 - 2000)
Spent years trying to find out what it was, then when I did, spent more years trying to find a cure. Went to numerous doctors but none of them knew what it was or how to cure it. Eventually went to a skin specialist and he gave me something called Dalicin T topical solution.
That made a big difference in reducing the odour but didnt eliminate it.
I still had the smell after a few hours and especially after waking up - whether I was asleep for 10 mins or 10 hours.
Around this time I thought again about my diet( no veg what-so-ever and rarely any fruit), so started taking chlorophill.
After around 3 weeks of taking chlorophill the smell dropped around 70 - 80%, although I still had the odour after sleeping and after around 5 hours after a shower.
Thought maybe I should take more vitamins in the hope it would help so started taking Multibionta(brand name) multivitamins, Seven Seas (brand name) Cod Liver Oil, Rainforest Foods(brand name) Chlorella & Spirulina, ALLSPORTS(brand name) Propolis and Quest(brand name) Kyolic Garlic extract.
None of them made any difference to the odour, although I havent had a cold of the flu since, so something good came from them:)
Anyway, a few weeks ago I started taking Valupak(brand name) Brewers Yeast tablets and now the smell after I wake up is almost completely gone. No joke.
So it would seems the 2 things that made a difference are:
Nature´s Plus(brand name) Natural Chlorophill Alfalfa Food Supplement. 600mg(per capsule)
I take one of those per day. Tried taking more but that just made me need to visit the bathroom a lot more(and not for a wee)
so just went back to one per day.
I get mine from eBay atm, for around £12 for 60 Capsules
The 2nd vitamins that seems to have helped are -
Valupak(brand name) vitamins Brewers Yeast 300mg(per tablet) and I take the maximum recommended dose of 6 tablets per day.
The Brewers Yeast cost £1.29 for 120 from a local pharmacy.
