Hello,
After years of approaching my issues with hyperhydrosis treatments. I do not believe I have discovered a "real" cure to my persistent body odor I have moved away from listening to dermatologists/ Gastroenterology and have reached out to a holistic practitioner.
I am just beginning work with a holistic doctor who is recommending - Acupuncture (for sweating) - Chinese herbs (for sweating) - Fecal testing to understand if my digestive system is functioning properly (Looking at the enzymes and other chemicals that are present or absent from my body) - Stress response/control (via meditation, breathing techniques etc) - Strictly monitored/outlined "detox" (to cleanse the 3 main organs that naturally detox the body: liver, kidneys, colon)
I do believe stressful times equates to stronger/worse body odor for me.
Have you tried any of these things and felt you saw results? How do you not let your body odor define/limit your life? Do you openly tell people of your issue?
Being conscious of my body odor has limited my social interactions/ability to make friends. It is unfortunate to find my self so scared to hug and be physically close to the people I care about. I know this issue does not define who I am as a person. But I am struggling with how to reduce it's ability to limit me.
Peace & Love
