I've had bad breath since I was 16. I didn't know what could be causing it. Nothing really changed around that time except I lost a lot of weight and started getting my wisdom teeth in. At first I just brushed my teeth really good and left it alone. After a while the smell started getting worse and worse. That's when I decided to brush where my wisdom teeth were and there was a horrid smell there. My wisdom teeth were partly in my gums and there was a pocket where food and stuff got caught. So I got them removed and then I noticed my tonsils had stinky tonsil stones in them. The pockets where the tonsil stones came out were really pungent.
I got those removed too. And before I knew it the odor had gone down. Now I get what my mom calls drinkers morning breath. And that's all. I still have some bad breath but its greatly reduced with my hygiene regimen. Its more on the side of normal. Which is a big improvement from where it was. I use to have a horrible taste in my mouth that I don't get anymore and a white coating no matter what I ate. Now I don't have that white coating except in the morning. So removing my wisdom teeth and tonsils really helped.
