So, I have body odor. Three types in fact. The burn rubber smell that emits from my pours. Ammonia smell after a long days work, usually developed in the evening and especially in the summer and lastly, a rotten / damp smell that mainly occurs on towels.
The first two can be suppressed via magnesium & Zinc supplements and proper under arm care. However its the dreaded towels that I can't seem to get rid off, and further more, I think it may be a bigger problem than just towels.
To explain with a scenario; whenever I feel I may have BO, but CAN NOT SMELL IT MYSELF, (despite a quick sniff showing no signs of BO) especially on the underarms, I will give them a proper wash, lather with soap and rinse the underarms with cold water.
Generally after doing this, my underarms feel fresh and I can not smell any odor. However, when I go to dry my underarms with my towel, after a few minutes a horrible smell develops on the towel that can only be described as rotten eggs in a damp basement. It is horrid.
Now, my worry is that, this specific smell I am describing on the towels, is what other people may be smelling from me. This baffles me completely because I never smell this smell anywhere else apart from my towels after I have washed my underarms with them.
My only theory, is that perhaps, when I dry my underarms, any bacteria from them gets transferred to the towel, but what could be the cause of this smell and why do I not smell this on my skin?
Does anybody have any ideas as to where this smell may be coming from, and can other people smell this???
