I feel that everyone in my school thinks I smell like B.O, or sometimes worst. I feel like its partly due to paranoia and the truth. It never used to happen before we moved, but ever since we have, I feel like I have this permanent stench to me. I'd wake up for school and get a shower before leaving, my clothes are always fresh, however after i leave the bus, the suspicion starts going on again. Ill occasionally hear somebody say "It smells like fish in this hall!" and I'll automatically think they're talking about me. Its probably not that bad but I'm felt to believe that it is so. like i said, it all started after moving to this crummy run down apartment that all my friends say "smells like mold" or smells very bad! I just want to know if It's my house or if its me. I am 16, M. I would like to feel better about myself knowing if it is just my house, or if its really me, or what i could do to fight the smell/paranoia. I also cannot access any doctor at the time because we're running low on money

It could be that it's all paranoia. Or not. The problem with B.O. issues is that ppl don't like to speak openly of B.O. to the person in question because they find it so embarassing, so the person is left only to guess whether or not she/he is interpreting signals right.
Anyway here's what i thought: If the smell is real, it could be that the mold in your house is causing you B.O. Mold is excreting toxic materials (mycotoxins) in the air that, I believe, can really stress your liver and kidneys. Maybe your liver has too much work to do, and can't handle its normal functions of detoxifying and deodorizing the smelly compounds (eg. TMA) which then come through your skin. Maybe. (Afaik this is not yet a scientifcally proven theory...) IF you have an option, you could try spend some time (imo couple of weeks) somewhere else and see if the feel of stench is lessening. Have you had any other symptoms from mold, such as running nose, itching lips, fever, irritated (red) eyes, difficulties in breathing (esp. when exercising), fatigue, head aches, coughing?
What I know for sure in my case is that spending one day in a moldy house causes a kind of inflammatory (allergic) reaction in my body, which includes sweating even more than normally.
Be there b.o. or not, living in a moldy house is really dangerous to your health. Hope you find answers and solutions!

I haven't been sneezing or showing any symptoms that are caused by mold, but when i spent a few weeks with some friends in a different state the smell and paranoia just seemed to vanish. I was very close to strangers and they showed no signs that there was anything wrong, or that something smelled, however whenever i came back, students at my school acted the same way, like something on me smelled like bo

I dont like it when people are sniffing and talk about odour. I feel paranoid sometimes too. I think about odour too much and then I feel unhappy when people talk about odour.
