Yes! I know that diet is critical as are probiotics to get better. I took probiotics for two years on a regular diet not knowing about TMAU and had some success as the really bad rubber and garbage odors went away but still had bad odor where people would stand 5 feet away from me. Now along with the low choline diet I am much, much better. I take Klaire Labs Ther-biotic Complete and Klaire Labs Ther-biotic Factor 4. One pill of each per day and my alternative MD says I have to take them for life which I will. You can buy them on Amazon.com and they are stable for 2 weeks without refrigeration but I would try to get them shipped in 2 days or so, to keep them fresh. Good Luck! Kim

Hi koreankid
I am thai people and live in Thailand. You are very similar to me because I think that in my country there is no place to diagnose it. Later I contact to Nigel manning and he told me to see the genetic doctor in my country. So I went to see genetic doctor but she did not know about it. However she can collecting my urine and send it to the one who know about this. Now im wating for the result. So the only thing that you can do is go to see genetic doctor, tell him that you doubt that you are tmau and you want to get test.
glad to see asian people,Wish you good luck
