I thought I’d go ahead and put up something’s I tried just in case you guys haven’t already tried them. I have Hyperhidrosis (excessive armpit sweating 4 me) and Bromhidrosis. Now I saw somewhere on here someone asking if it was possible to cut the sweat glands in the armpit. My answer to you is yes! U can. I had excision of the sweat gland maybe 3 yrs ago. You would need to go to a dermatologist that offers this procedure within the office. One armpit is done at a time. The armpit needs to heal b4 the other can be done. It takes about an hour and anesthesia is administered in the area than comes the cutting don’t worry you don’t feel any pain. After the derm is done you get sewed up and instructions on how to care for the area and any meds u may need Now don’t be fooled if you call around you will get all types of ridicules prices but I go to a dermatologist in Brooklyn, NY that does it for a reasonable price. If you’re interested in it me know. Besides there are other procedures for the armpit like liposuction of the sweat glands, vaser treatment, The miraDry System, Botox (I have also tried but didn’t work. He does it at a reasonable price as well), u can get a prescription for glycopyrolate 1% gluteraldehyde 2% alum, hcl 10% gel not a lot of ppl know about this cuz my derm didn’t either and neither did I but when I changed my primary doctor I told him about my sweating and he hold me about a special deodorant that a pharmacy makes. I have only been taking it for a few days cuz of a dumb 6 month set back but what I do know is glycopyrolate is a generic brand of Robinul which comes in a pill. It helps to stop the sweating but I must warn you when I say that it does not work on the armpit but only for the rest of the body. you will see a result so if you suffer from hyperhidrosis of any other part of the body getting a prescription from your derm may help. Now this special deordorant is robinul mix with some other component to help stop sweating or reduce the sweating in the armpits. This is not I repeat is not similar to dry sol, certin dri, odaban etc does not contain the same components in anyway so you may see better stronger results. Now there are some home remedies that you can do as well organic honey and apple cider vinegar (health food store) zeasorb af powder may help with that sweaty sensation but it doesn’t have that great baby powder smell. It does help with soaking up the sweat and if you don’t have bromhidrosis of the pits than this would help a lot. There’s a bunch of other stuff that’s available and other treatments so when I get all my info together I will continue this post ( its 5am lol I’m struggling it’s too damn early lol) but I felt that I should pay my dues and help those who may not have known of these solutions because you guys have helped me in figuring out what things I can do.
