Hydrogen Peroxide Mishap!!!
Hi All,
I really need advice. After drinking lemon juice with water and then the next day ate the actual inside of the lemon. I started to feel like I was getting a cold. Then I noticed that I had tonsil stones. I am not sure if taking lemon juice with water caused me to form mucus but I'm sure I didn't feel sick after I stopped taking the lemon juice. Anyways, now I notice I have tonsil stones. So, I tried to kill of the bacteria by gargaling with about 50% Hydrogen Peroxide to 50% water. Now I noticed the smell would go away for about an hour or two. However, the top of my inner mouth is turning white! I only had been doing it twice a day for 3 days. Now, I don't know what to do! Please offer some advice. I will go to the dentist, but first have to make sure my insurance covers that.
Also, I heard that grapefruit juice helps with tonsil stones. Is that true? And if it is what is the best type and way to take it?
Thanks in advance,
Bnow

Re: Hydrogen Peroxide Mishap!
Bnow,
The medical term for tonsil stones is tonsilloliths. Try googling 'tonsillolith treatment'
I achieve good breath odour control by scraping my tongue with a stainless steel scraper 3 times a day, then gargling with CocaCola Zero. Try this instead of the peroxide, it's surprising how effective it is.

Arun, what is in coca cola zero? could it be high acid content?
what I have found most effective is white vinegar (high acid) diluted with water , about half n half and I think the vinegar helps with the ph balance of the mouth too.

Re: Hydrogen Peroxide Mishap!
Thank You Arun and akawitch,
I will try both those ideas. However, I am getting a little frustrated. I have tried so many different treatments to try to curb the B.O. smell. Now, I have to try a fourth type of treatment (gargling with CocaCola Zero or white vinegar). Hopefully one of them works! Perhaps I am so quick to change treatments before one of them can really take affect. I have to keep telling myself be PATIENT. Other people are living with worst conditions. To all those who are frustrated about not getting the desired results, hang on! I know exactly what you are going through. I will be positive. I will over come this disorder.

Yes witch, coca cola zero is like diet coke, it is acidic. So perhaps acidifying the tongue after giving it a good scraping helps.
Bnow, yes, I'm afraid it's all down to trial and error at this stage
