Buy some zinc gluconate caplets from Walmart or anywhere. Place a few in a small amount of water so that the consistency will be like a paste. Not runny. Dip a tongue scraper or toothbrush into the mixture. Apply it to the back of your tongue. It's working for me and my breath smells like garbage. If I'm at a cash register, the cashier can smell my breath. Largely because I do intermittent fasting and don't eat until 2PM. I have been looking for a remedy and wasn't going to give up my diet.
I've tried Therabreath tongue gel. I've had success with the Therabreath mouth spray in the past. It's expensive though and I'm cheap. Now that the zinc gluconate works I checked the ingredients in the Therabreath mouthspray and guess what, it's zinc gluconate.
do yourself a favor and at least check it out. A bottle of these vitamins probably cost no more than $6 at Walmart. Add some to a little water to make a paste. Apply to the back of your tongue.

Oh yeah, I came to zinc gluconate because I'd had coldeeze cough drops and noticed my breath wasn't stinky after them. I don't like eating sugar though (they have sugar in them) or sucking on candies. So I looked for the main ingredient and boom. Released from the funky breath and the ire of whiny babies.

It's a better idea to break the capsule up into a powder. Let it stay dry. Pour the powder into your hand when you are brushing. Put it on your toothbrush or tongue scraper from there. Wet it a little while it's in your hand. It got pretty gross in the jar.
