Terrible body odor
WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS HOW SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND NOT ONE DOCTOR HAVE EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. I am a 27 year old very attractive female that have had this on going problem for the last 2 years. Only now have the smell gotten worse than ever i use to be just sometimes off and on but now its constantly all day and most of the time i cant even smell it just can tell by others reaction that i smell bad.

is the odors we give off it's like wtf is that even possible. Crazy Shitt overall.
Hopefully they research this because we don't deserve to live like this. I would suggest changing your diet for some reason that helps.

i have i cut out sugars, wheat, white flour, citric acid, bread, condiments i just eat meat and vegatables. the meat be baked, broiled, grilled and if fried i use cold pressed olive oil

no i dont think so this is my maybe third time trying this i just never stick with it plus i found out that almost all foods are washed in citric acid including meat so i don't know what to do at this point.There is a little girl on cure zone.com who says she cured her fecal body odor with Glycolax. she says that she didn't have bowel movements everyday and everyone could smell her but she couldn't also she said that the doctor prescribed that to her and after one day of using it the smell was absolutely gone. Someone else came back and wrote that they tried it and its works so i'm going to give it a try and see what happens.

I tried Miralax (another brand of Polyethylene Glycol 3350).
Together with diet (lots of veg, mostly raw salads) and probiotics
the odor was reduced, maybe even gone I'm not sure. I read this testimonials on curezone and I think it's worth trying.

Hey what's going on been having the same problem since high school and I'm now 23 and I still don't know what to do I been shutting myself away from everyone because my body odor I read some where that doctors can cut the sweat glands.......I wonder if that true if u have tried everything. I'm not sure if its true or not but there is another ways as well I didn't try as of yet which is baby ointment for rashes some people said it works. Have you tried it ?

There are snake oil products out there, But Dr mist is the worst when it comes to lengths they will go to to sell there product. Seriously zero morals

Its salt water sold by bunch of scammer. please don't buy.

True, Dr. Mist does not work and it seems that there is some newbie promoting it every so often. I fell for it last year, the woman suggested a Canadian site to purchase from, (she was probably a distributor) but I went directly to the main site. Ordered 4 bottles, yes they are cheap but they are small. Did not work at all - had been diagnosed with tmau a couple months later. never heard from her again, and did not respond emails.

Kinda like the woman who was promoting the Absorbatox on,the yahoo site recently. never heard back from her either.

I used to have nasty breath in the past, but the reason being my teeth were extremely crooked.

There were spots which cannot be cleaned through brushing or flossing, and also I had inadequate brushing habits when I was young.

However I decided to do braces and I learnt to have good oral hygiene. (flossing + brushing twice a day)

My bad breath was gone. I was full of confidence then, until the BO kicked in, and now my life is ruined again.

I think that having bad teeth may be related to foul body odor. I'm not sure where I remember reading this, but it was on another forum. It was referencing how mercury fillings used in cavities can be somewhat toxic and this might be contributing to body odor somehow?

I personally have had a multiple number of cavities and had mercury fillings put in years ago. My fillings have now broken and I basically have holes in my teeth where the fillings once were. I also have a white-coated tongue.

Smelly-k, you should try taking digestive enzymes for your tongue coating. I also have a tongue coating and I've heard on several occassions that it is connected to poor digestion. Your probably not digesting something in your food and it's leading to other issues. I think fructose malabsorbers have an issue digesting any kind of fructose, while those with TMAU have trouble digesting a protein called TMA. Maybe you can experiment through trial and error and find out what foods are causing you trouble. Some people have mentioned taking a digestive enzyme gets rid of the tongue coating. Have you tested positive for anything yet?

Thanks Luna for your advice. I will try the digestive enzymes. Is there a specific kind that you use or suggest using? No, I haven't tested positive for any of the basic medical tests, and I'm still getting my funds together to try to test for TMAU. I will give the enzymes a shot. Thanks again.

Many people look at oder in the wrong way. Think about it from an evolutionary stand point. First of all, your ancestors struggled to survive. Secondly, they likely moved around in a nomadic fashion making them vulnerable to ambush. or even just accidently stumbling onto a drowsing deadly animal.

The smell which makes people cough, sniffle, and otherwise noisily irritated is caused by an irritant or allergen utilized by your body. Thus the misconception that sweat is simply a lubricant used to allow for movement of the joints and toxin removal is revealed as true but incomplete.

Now the possibly obvious point is that causing a potential enemy to give away his or her location nonparasitic antigen capable of stimulating a type-I hypersensitivity reaction (like Sirus did in the Matrix when he sneezed while trying to hide from the SWAT) would be an unquestionably good trait to have. In fact it would be vital, which is why so many presumably healthy people sweat, and "smell".

But we don't need it any more so why do we have it? Well its right up there with the appendix. The fact of the matter is that if you have an oder you are likely quite healthy; as the original post said "I am an attractive 27 year old woman." I have know doubt that you are.

In regard to getting rid of your rather amazing quality... well... I guess you could wear more layers of clothing, wear long underwear, and change your clothes a could times a day. Or just get some expensive perfume and take it as a compliment when you here someone coughing or sniffing in the other room, cause they just fell on your booby trap..

I take something called Metagest, which is betain HCI. It says it is to "complement the natural production of digestive agents in the stomach." I believe this enzyme is mainly to help with proteins. I take 3 - 4 with each meal.

I also take Dygestzyme, which I think is all the pancreatic-type enzymes. I take 2 before each meal.

This definately helps with the tongue coating. Also it has helped my stomach. It used to be that after I ate my stomach would be all gurgly and gassy, bloated and very uncomfortable. All that is gone with these enzymes. I also believe odor is controlled by enhancing your digestion.

It obviously doesn't need to be these brands of enzymes but probably an betaine HCI combined with Pepsin and then also pancreatic-type ones might help.

Thanks WendyCori! I'm about to head to the store now. As I've tried everything else, I will give this a try as well. My stomach also makes these gurgly noises and is quite embarassing. My boyfriend sometimes just lays on my stomach as he is amazed how my stomach makes such noises. Smh. And I am always gassy too. So Hopefully, I'll see some results with this.

I tried Dr. Mist. It worked for me but not for more than one day without reapplying. I stopped using it because I was sweating so often that the sweat was washing away the product. Once I get the sweating under control, I intend to use it in rotation.

Now I use something called "5 Day" which is available on drugstore.com. It's very strong but doesn't stink by itself. I use it when I need to be physically close to people I know.

At one point, I had HORRIBLE mouth odor. Now I see that maybe it was related to everything that is going on. People literally would turn their face. I tried gargling with tea tree oil but that didn't do anything. What I do now is swish pure organic virgin coconut oil in my mouth for about 15 seconds (1 tablespoon) and then spit it out after brushing my teeth. The oil is has anti-microbial properties.

I would seriously consider cutting out meat. I would think that meat would cause a stronger smell then eating flour/wheat/bread that kind of thing. Meat must absolutely stink sitting in your body and it probably takes longer to digest. Maybe just stick to eating white meat - chicken/turkey

Dear friend I had the same thing, there are 100's of things that can cause this. You can start by eating many greens. 2, if you are not going to the bathroom 2 to 3 times a day then you need to fix that. I had allot of waste sitting inside for many years and it was causing my body to smell bad.
Clean your teath 3 times a day with a mechanical brush not a regular one. Also if you have Candida (yeast infection) that pokes holes in your gut and shit and food goes into your blood stream and it causes your odor, among very serius health problems. Do a blood test to see if you have any serius health problems. If not then proceed with collonics to clean your intestants at least 4 times. You also need to see a Homepathic Doctor and do a yeast blood test, if thats the case then your problem is easy in one month you will be cured. I had the same thing I went from having 5 girl friends to none at all from this thing. If you have any questions let me know. I have read everything about it.

Smelly-k, bad teeth can definitely cause bad breath. The decay will cause odor and cannot be brushed away. There is also a train of thought that mercury filling cause toxicity in the body...makes sense. It costs a little more for the white fillings but are worth it.

I'm not sure if the level of citric in food prep would be enough to give you problems, although there's only one person that can know this.

With regards to mercury fillings, the holistic doctor I worked with strongly believed these are a problem. Apparently they can cause kidney disease, depression, CFS and a number of things. The kidneys are one of your detox organs, so could affect your odour I think. The remedy is to find a registered mercury-free dentist who can remove them without releasing a lot of mercury in the process and then replace them with a low toxin filling.

hi, I'm a girl, 18, who recently too has this problem. for the last month. it's horribly embarrassing. my friends act as if I'm not there and they've stopped inviting me out. I don't want to leave the house and I had SO MUCH planned for this summer. people are rude, they make rude comments and I have no idea why this is happening to me. A guy in my house did have bad odor for years and his friends said it was because of his house, it was a dump and really dirty. last month my guinea pig got out of his cage and for 24 hours shit and pissed in a corner, I think the heat has worstened the smell and it's getting absorped into my pours and excreted through my sweat but i can't do anything. Im a 21 pretty good looking male and I have this problem too :/ but I noticed when I fasted for 2 days only drinking water my odor was almost non existent. After the fast I only ate lettuce and drank water and I could actually breathe through my nose for the first time in like a year, the feeling was very promising but then I messed it up by eating junk food with sugar. I noticed sugar, wheat, and meats make it worse, including sugar from fruits. But I think the best method would be to let ur body empty everything out of ur body with a 2 day fast drink plenty of water! And try to avoid being stressed, I felt much lighter when I did this. The weirdest thing about this is I've been trying to figure the way out of this nightmare for so long and one night I had a dream with a food that looked like a sundae but it was made of bread, chocolate syrup, and hot dogs and my friend whose very fit was telling me not to eat it. Idk that dream turned on a flashing light in my mind so I'm trying to avoid these foods and see what happens. Remember to gradually increase ur fiber intake as well if u plan to do that fast, vegetables , vegetables, vegetables! I hope this helps in some way guys. Hang in there we can do this!

I am going to be posting all the information I've gathered about this depressing condition. I too have been in that situation where someone has out emphasis on the word shit or other comments but I act like I don't know what they are talking and bout and jus smile. When ppl try to give me hints about my condition I will take there comment literally on purpose and reply accordingly to avoid the embarrassment all together. And the thing that sucks is that I'm talking about the ppl I call my friends, the ppl that are supposed to support you through ur bad times and not take advantage of ur disadvantage to get girls and make comments to sabotage me from getting any happiness outta life. I have recently encountered the world of FBO and BB and basically feeling like my blood is infested with toxins.. I had spent wasted weeks going to my PCP and demanding blood tests only to find out that they were all fine and within normal ranges and told me it was stress and gave me a Rx for Xanax.. Are you KIDDING ME? Anyway, what has subsequently occurred was my hair started to fall out and when I called back I said maybe I should be referred to a GI.. Which they did and the GI didn't understand and sent me on my way with an appt for a pelvic and full abdomen ultrasound. This I had a strong inkling would also come back normal which it did.. After enuff missed work days and my job, social life and financial stability hanging in the balance I went to a naturopath which confirmed my suspicions of Candida which lead to the leaky gas gut due to 6 bouts of strep throat in 12 months and the very real symptoms caused by the over use of antibiotics. I have been on the strict Candida diet and taking the Capyl, garlic and HCL probiotics for 12 days and still no relief of the one that keeps me from going into my work ( FBO). Since I have OCD and way to much time on my hands not being at work ( I am a work- oholic) I have been internet searching for solutions.. I then thought I may have MRSA which is related to the onset of the Candida and Leaky Gas Gut and FBO and went back into my DR office.. He gave me a Rx for Dilflucin ( 2 x 150mg) with in not so many words, a epées me. I told my naturopath Dr with hesitation due to the thought that he may feel like I was not trusting in his treatment approach or I was not committed to the instructions he gave me 12 days ago.. I have done everything he told me and I told him this and what the PCP prescribed.. Shockingly, he was okay with it but told me that I need to take a 10 day dose ( 10 x 100 mg). I have only taken one pill 24 hours ago thus far but had to leave work today again to the embarrassing FBO.. I have been internet searching and now hit on possible Tonsil Stones which again is all inter related.. However, the point is as I have been saying since the beginning, I have horrible toxins flowing thru my bloodstream and the correlation to all these self dx'es all lead up to FUNGUS and how to get rid of it and primarily how to get rid of the FBO so I can go back to work and support my four children. I am a single mother and have stopped getting child support back in Feb so this is just completely leaving my whole world hanging in the balance of a REAL answer.. I will take any answer and I know that there is no quick fix but please don't respond with the whole Candida diet or anything I have already done cause TRUST me I know and I have read on it.. Including the controversial overdosing of probiotics.. This whole this is absurd and when I read people have been battling this for 2 years or 22 years it is very discouraging and I honestly don't have the emotional capabilities to endure this torture for that long.. Oh yeah, my eye lashes and hair are falling out in extreme fashion since I went head strong on the Candida diet.. Die -Off you may say but no one knows, that in itself is frustrating and confusing..

Wow, this is one of the most heartbreaking posts i've read in a long time. My huge sympathy goes out to you; I've lived with fbo for ages so I empathise entirely with you but to also have people dependent on you must put you under so much extra pressure. In one way it would be extremely nice to have a family of my own but even if I could find a partner which I can't i don't think I could handle the responsbility of having children while trying to cope with lving with fbo.
Unfortunately I don't have any real answers for you sorry, maybe some of the more knowledgeable people on here could give you some good advice. Just one or two things though - firstly garlic is an extremely problematic food for loads of people. It's banned on the low fodmaps diet and also I think the low sulfur diet. Maybe you could try something else instead like grapefruit seed extract?
Also what if your problem is not a fungus infection like yeast but rather a bacterial problem? I think that's whats wrong with me - too much bad bactera in my gut. How about seeing if you could get prescribed some antibiotics like rifaximin/ metonidazole or neuromyclin (some of those are definately spelt wrong). If you're looking for fast results they might be your best bet. Yes antibiotics often cause the problem in the first place but those antibiotics specifically target any bad bacteria in the colon. Then with the probitoics your gut flora might be restored to a more healthy balance. Hope this helps a little bit, anybody else with any ideas?

Thank you. I appreciate the response. Just the validation alone sends me into tears as I can only appreciate that someone, anyone listens without judgment. I can't even begin to tell you how every single facet of my life is utterly contingent on the resolution of this condition and its devastating symptoms. Like many, I am a huge control freak and this of which I have no control is sending me into an emotional typhoon. Just as an update, ALL, and again ALL the tests including the stool sample came back negative for all that I have proclaimed. Doing more research it is extremely common for a false negative in these debilitation conditions thus why they say there is no REAL test for it. Which was kind of a relief because EVERY single symptom that I have read on the thousands of sites are clearly related to Candida and leaky gas gut. I started the Diflucin on Monday and took the two pills my PCP prescribed and then filled my Naturopath Rx for Difflucin (2 x 100mg / day) and took one last nite and one this morning.. I still smell hence the reason I am blogging right now and am exhausted with the cycling thoughts of all that hangs in the balance of this added treatment successfully working to get rid of the yeast overgrowth that is corrupting my life.

Thanks very much for your kind comments. I know what you mean when you talk about validation. I've written so many things on the old forum which I have never been able to tell another person face to face. It's a good way to let off some steam which we all need.
It's such a vicious circle too, you become stressed out having to live with this condition which in turn causes you to get worse. Hiopefully you will get some relief with the diflucin, as you've read up so much you probably know this already but the fbo might intensify for a short time due to the die-off effect before then fingers crossed getting a lot better.
I was just wondering did you get a hydrogen breath test done? That's how I was diagnosed with having small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

Sounds like a tough spot to be in. I'm afraid a quick fix is unlikely and gradual improvement is much more likely. I think Candida is a little over-diagnosed in some quarters but also that dysbiosis is often composite, so Candida may well coexist with other bacterial imbalances. Candida may well be common but I don't think it's always the whole picture. It might be many people with fecal odour have an overgrowth of Clostridium bacteria too but we don't know.

If you've only been on the Candida diet 12 days then I wouldn't expect any real progress, Candida normally takes a couple of months to kill based on what I hear. You might also look at magnesium peroxide, coconut oil, oil of oregano and saccharomyces boulardii to help with that.

Hair loss? You may have zinc deficiency from gut malabsorption. Do you have white flicks or ridges on your nails? That's indicative of low zinc, if so a liquid form of zinc might be wise. You might want to be aware that people have found various food triggers including: sugar, sulphur, dairy, meat, choline, cruciferous veg.

I'd suggest you assume a general dysbiosis and act accordingly. Consider probiotics, chicory inulin, charcoal, B2 if you have constant chapped lips and the others I mentioned (not every one that'd be overkill). I'd also suggest you try to keep in work, no respite is promised and you don't want to lose your job.

Finally and importantly I'd suggest you look after you mental health as much as your physical, you might be surprised how linked the two may be. You sound like you're really strained. Be strong, good luck.

Hi, you guys have trimethylaminuria (TMAU), mostly known as fish odour. Google it, to understand it more.

Ways of reducing the fishy odor may include:

Avoiding foods such as eggs, legumes, certain meats, fish, and other foods that contain choline, carnitine, nitrogen, sulfur and lecithin

Taking low doses of antibiotics such as neomycin and metronidazole[6] in order to reduce the amount of bacteria in the gut

Using slightly acidic detergent with a pH between 5.5 and 6.5

Taking charcoal and/or copper chlorophyllin tablets. I am taking at moment: body mint and nullo.

no i dont think so this is my maybe third time trying this i just never stick with it plus i found out that almost all foods are washed in citric acid including meat so i don't know what to do at this point.There is a little girl on cure zone.com who says she cured her fecal body odor with Glycolax. she says that she didn't have bowel movements everyday and everyone could smell her but she couldn't also she said that the doctor prescribed that to her and after one day of using it the smell was absolutely gone. Someone else came back and wrote that they tried it and its works so i'm going to give it a try and see what happens.

I tried Miralax (another brand of Polyethylene Glycol 3350).
Together with diet (lots of veg, mostly raw salads) and probiotics
the odor was reduced, maybe even gone I'm not sure. I read this testimonials on curezone and I think it's worth trying.

Hey what's going on been having the same problem since high school and I'm now 23 and I still don't know what to do I been shutting myself away from everyone because my body odor I read some where that doctors can cut the sweat glands.......I wonder if that true if u have tried everything. I'm not sure if its true or not but there is another ways as well I didn't try as of yet which is baby ointment for rashes some people said it works. Have you tried it ?

True, Dr. Mist does not work and it seems that there is some newbie promoting it every so often. I fell for it last year, the woman suggested a Canadian site to purchase from, (she was probably a distributor) but I went directly to the main site. Ordered 4 bottles, yes they are cheap but they are small. Did not work at all - had been diagnosed with tmau a couple months later. never heard from her again, and did not respond emails.

Kinda like the woman who was promoting the Absorbatox on,the yahoo site recently. never heard back from her either.

I used to have nasty breath in the past, but the reason being my teeth were extremely crooked.

There were spots which cannot be cleaned through brushing or flossing, and also I had inadequate brushing habits when I was young.

However I decided to do braces and I learnt to have good oral hygiene. (flossing + brushing twice a day)

My bad breath was gone. I was full of confidence then, until the BO kicked in, and now my life is ruined again.

I think that having bad teeth may be related to foul body odor. I'm not sure where I remember reading this, but it was on another forum. It was referencing how mercury fillings used in cavities can be somewhat toxic and this might be contributing to body odor somehow?

I personally have had a multiple number of cavities and had mercury fillings put in years ago. My fillings have now broken and I basically have holes in my teeth where the fillings once were. I also have a white-coated tongue.

Smelly-k, you should try taking digestive enzymes for your tongue coating. I also have a tongue coating and I've heard on several occassions that it is connected to poor digestion. Your probably not digesting something in your food and it's leading to other issues. I think fructose malabsorbers have an issue digesting any kind of fructose, while those with TMAU have trouble digesting a protein called TMA. Maybe you can experiment through trial and error and find out what foods are causing you trouble. Some people have mentioned taking a digestive enzyme gets rid of the tongue coating. Have you tested positive for anything yet?

Many people look at oder in the wrong way. Think about it from an evolutionary stand point. First of all, your ancestors struggled to survive. Secondly, they likely moved around in a nomadic fashion making them vulnerable to ambush. or even just accidently stumbling onto a drowsing deadly animal.

The smell which makes people cough, sniffle, and otherwise noisily irritated is caused by an irritant or allergen utilized by your body. Thus the misconception that sweat is simply a lubricant used to allow for movement of the joints and toxin removal is revealed as true but incomplete.

Now the possibly obvious point is that causing a potential enemy to give away his or her location nonparasitic antigen capable of stimulating a type-I hypersensitivity reaction (like Sirus did in the Matrix when he sneezed while trying to hide from the SWAT) would be an unquestionably good trait to have. In fact it would be vital, which is why so many presumably healthy people sweat, and "smell".

But we don't need it any more so why do we have it? Well its right up there with the appendix. The fact of the matter is that if you have an oder you are likely quite healthy; as the original post said "I am an attractive 27 year old woman." I have know doubt that you are.

In regard to getting rid of your rather amazing quality... well... I guess you could wear more layers of clothing, wear long underwear, and change your clothes a could times a day. Or just get some expensive perfume and take it as a compliment when you here someone coughing or sniffing in the other room, cause they just fell on your booby trap..

I take something called Metagest, which is betain HCI. It says it is to "complement the natural production of digestive agents in the stomach." I believe this enzyme is mainly to help with proteins. I take 3 - 4 with each meal.

I also take Dygestzyme, which I think is all the pancreatic-type enzymes. I take 2 before each meal.

This definately helps with the tongue coating. Also it has helped my stomach. It used to be that after I ate my stomach would be all gurgly and gassy, bloated and very uncomfortable. All that is gone with these enzymes. I also believe odor is controlled by enhancing your digestion.

It obviously doesn't need to be these brands of enzymes but probably an betaine HCI combined with Pepsin and then also pancreatic-type ones might help.

My boyfriend sometimes just lays on my stomach as he is amazed how my stomach makes such noises. Smh. And I am always gassy too. So Hopefully, I'll see some results with this.

I tried Dr. Mist. It worked for me but not for more than one day without reapplying. I stopped using it because I was sweating so often that the sweat was washing away the product. Once I get the sweating under control, I intend to use it in rotation.

Now I use something called "5 Day" which is available on drugstore.com. It's very strong but doesn't stink by itself. I use it when I need to be physically close to people I know.

At one point, I had HORRIBLE mouth odor. Now I see that maybe it was related to everything that is going on. People literally would turn their face. I tried gargling with tea tree oil but that didn't do anything. What I do now is swish pure organic virgin coconut oil in my mouth for about 15 seconds (1 tablespoon) and then spit it out after brushing my teeth. The oil is has anti-microbial properties.

I would seriously consider cutting out meat. I would think that meat would cause a stronger smell then eating flour/wheat/bread that kind of thing. Meat must absolutely stink sitting in your body and it probably takes longer to digest. Maybe just stick to eating white meat - chicken/turkey

Dear friend I had the same thing, there are 100's of things that can cause this. You can start by eating many greens. 2, if you are not going to the bathroom 2 to 3 times a day then you need to fix that. I had allot of waste sitting inside for many years and it was causing my body to smell bad.
Clean your teath 3 times a day with a mechanical brush not a regular one. Also if you have Candida (yeast infection) that pokes holes in your gut and shit and food goes into your blood stream and it causes your odor, among very serius health problems. Do a blood test to see if you have any serius health problems. If not then proceed with collonics to clean your intestants at least 4 times. You also need to see a Homepathic Doctor and do a yeast blood test, if thats the case then your problem is easy in one month you will be cured. I had the same thing I went from having 5 girl friends to none at all from this thing. If you have any questions let me know. I have read everything about it.

Smelly-k, bad teeth can definitely cause bad breath. The decay will cause odor and cannot be brushed away. There is also a train of thought that mercury filling cause toxicity in the body...makes sense. It costs a little more for the white fillings but are worth it.

I'm not sure if the level of citric in food prep would be enough to give you problems, although there's only one person that can know this.

With regards to mercury fillings, the holistic doctor I worked with strongly believed these are a problem. Apparently they can cause kidney disease, depression, CFS and a number of things. The kidneys are one of your detox organs, so could affect your odour I think. The remedy is to find a registered mercury-free dentist who can remove them without releasing a lot of mercury in the process and then replace them with a low toxin filling.

hi, I'm a girl, 18, who recently too has this problem. for the last month. it's horribly embarrassing. my friends act as if I'm not there and they've stopped inviting me out. I don't want to leave the house and I had SO MUCH planned for this summer. people are rude, they make rude comments and I have no idea why this is happening to me. A guy in my house did have bad odor for years and his friends said it was because of his house, it was a dump and really dirty. last month my guinea pig got out of his cage and for 24 hours shit and pissed in a corner, I think the heat has worstened the smell and it's getting absorped into my pours and excreted through my sweat but i can't do anything. I have NO WHERE to go, and i've cleaned the spot so many times. It's just horrible. it could be your house? is it clean and/or are there any dirty areas?

praying for the day this condition is finally investigated and maybe even, god willing, at some point cured

I think one of the main reasons its so difficult to diagnose is that its more than a physical ailment, I feel its equally rooted in psychology and the physical manifestation of it, ie the odour, is only part of it

for me i definitely suffer more when in certain situations, certain social settings, being in enclosed places with people (someone else's house, a club, car, bar) anything that causes me some sort of anxiety on some level, even if its not a conscious feeling of anxiety, causes me to create these horrendous stinks out of no-where, whereas i can sit at home alone or with a close friend and most of the time not have any problems at all...such a bizarre illness I cant even begin to figure it out even after my 5 year long (and counting) ordeal with it

one theory I have is that its caused by over-use of medication at some point in your life, specifically anti-biotics or steroid skin creams/medicines, which have somehow caused permanent damage to some part of your anatomy....my feeling is its either something to do with the Liver or to do with the Adrenal Glands (going back to what i mentioned about anxiety or little bursts of adrenalin being the trigger), and if you have a somewhat nervous or shy disposition as a person already then this can exacerbate the problem (for me its a vicious cycle, somewhat nervous a person already which triggers the problem and odour which in turn causes me to become more anxious and nervous etc etc in a downward spiral to the point where i just dont want to socialise at all, cant even hold a conversation with someone because im totally pre-occupied with sniffing the air every 2 seconds to make sure i havent unwittingly released some sort of monster). I also noticed earlier this year when I was prescribed anti biotics for a bad cough, that it made the odour a lot worse around that time and the immediate week or 2 after, thats at least some sort of clue i think.


so so so unbelievably fed up of this condition now that I think I've forgotten how it feels to be normal, I just feel entirely apathetic towards life in general. I can take periods of feeling very low and periods of feeling good but sustained apathy is surely one of the worst states of mind to be in, just gradually and continually being worn down. friends continually asking if everything's alright and why I'm continually down and never really want to go out and do the things normal people do. almost feels like life is playing a cruel joke on me a lot of the time; its just enough of a problem to completely ruin your self confidence, lust for life and causes you most of the time to suffer in silence due to the shame of the condition, but at the same time it's not enough of a problem for anything outwardly to appear wrong with you, not a recognised medical condition, not taken seriously by doctors..etc


cant take any more of those shocking soul crushing moments where you all of a sudden realise you've un-intentionally disgusted an entire room of people and your completely not in control of your own body, completely helpless to do anything about it whatsoever

its a heavy cross to bear

sorry I'm just venting some thoughts here. As someone already said, I've not said any of this stuff out loud to anyone before so I suppose this is good place to let it out.
