That's fantastic. Did you have any other symptoms in addition to your odor? Thanks for answering my questions, appreciate it!

I was on the diet for about a month. I kind of did it gradual. One week I started being vegan, but was still eating things with sugar in it. I was baking a lot of vegan cookies... e_e Then after about 2 weeks I cut out sugar (besides the sugar in fruit, but I still limit my fruit intake). And after a week doing that I decided to cut out the carbs, because I was still eating a bagel or pita bread/roti/plain vegan scones for lunch or snacks And now Im just eating the stuff I mentioned in my other post. So yep! I think the epsoms salt and exercise really helps. You feel so much better getting rid of all the toxins. But still, Im going to stick to the diet for another month before I make myself go back to uni and sit in those awful lecture theatres for an hour. Then I will definitely know if my odour is still around or not. Usually I can smell it when I go out, so me not being able to smell it, in waiting rooms and malls is a good thing for me. But its so hard to be 100 percent positive, because you are constantly interpreting a person breathing loudly or someone just coughing or sneezing as a sign you smell bad, when it is nothing or they just have a cold. I'm just hoping I stick to the diet and do not give in. I have never lasted this long on the dier before. I think the exercise really motivates you to keep eating healthy as well. Hi Bean, I've found your post quite interesting to read. Well done on the benefits you have achieved so far! I have been on a candida diet for 3 1/2 months and I have had progress getting rid of some of my candida symptoms but it has not helped my fecal odour at all. I feel that eating lots of meat and milk kefir is currently holding me back. I have been obsessing over considering to combine some aspects of a candida diet with a vegan diet for a couple of weeks. I am slightly wary of what foods to include and would be grateful if you could answer some of my questions. I was wondering what you have been relying on for your protein intake. Do you consume beans at all or are you relying on the veg to give you your daily protein intake? Do you eat any seeds or nuts? Would you by any chance know how much protein you consume in a day? Also do you consume any sulphury vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage or spinach? Also how long have you suffered from fecal odour? I have been wondering whether recovery time takes longer the longer you have had it.

CT, I'm sorry to hear you haven't produced any results yet. I read about a guy who took 6 months to rid himself of his fecal candida odor. I was wondering, could you share with me some of your recipes? The diet is very limiting.

I was wondering, could you share with me some of your recipes? The diet is very limiting. Hi, yes I have quite a few nice recipes for this diet. I have found a very good candida forum that has vey good diet information as to what should be eaten www.thecandidadiet.com/forum/. If you want your diet to be stricter there is a forum member called Able900 who will send you a stricter candida diet, he is very knowledgeable about the reasons why certain foods should and should not be eaten. www.thecandidadiet.com/forum/yaf_postst1136_ALLOWED-FOODS-LIST.aspxI have also posted alot of recipes in the recipe section you can find the recipes to these by typing in the forums search bar: Buckwheat flour crispbreads/chapatis (search under: chapatis) (you can consume buckwheat flour on the diet as it is gluten free, a good prebiotic that can heal the gut) Kegeree Sardine and rutabaga tart Buckwheat corchette and cauliflower slice Chicken tikka Toad in the hole (uses homemade sausage, also the batter can be used for yorkshire puddings) Cucumber soup All these meals are candida friendly and stay strictly to the diet on that website, but I am not sure whether they are beneficial for fecal body odour! There are also lots of other recipes on that forum by other members! Also have you tried making bread yet? There are some 'safe' candida friendly flours that you can use such as buckwheat, coconut ect. You can find many bread recipes on the forum. I have been wondering whether recovery time takes longer the longer you have had it. I definitely smell bad after eating meat and dairy. Once I ate a hamburger and then went to catch the bus, the smell was way stronger than normal. So I would really suggest you try going vegan for a while. I am confused whether sugar/carbs is making me smell bad or meat/dairy...or both. So I eliminated all of them, besides eating some low carbs here and there. I'm sorry, but I would probably not be very good at giving out healthy diet advice. Because my diet is pretty bad long term. I felt like I was going to be sick at work last night because I had nothing to eat all day but some apples, as I was sick of eating porridge. I do not really eat many vegetables. Usually I have lettuce, carrots, cucumber, and sometimes a tomato. So I'm not really getting any protein, since I definitely stay away from veges like broccoli, spinach, asparagus, avocado (i'm sometimes paranoid I have tmau, but I do not think my odour is strong enough for that). I also do not eat any nuts. I have kind of combined a lot of diets together, the tmau diet, candida, low sugar, vegan. So as you can imagine I'm afraid to eat much of anything. So I'm probably damaging my body, but I am just so desperate to get results. Hopefully I will find out 100% how long it takes for the diet to work for me. If it only takes a couple of weeks or months of being on a strict diet, then I will know when I can eat what I want before having to go on the diet again. I have had the body odour since I was about 14 or 15, and I am 21 now. e_e I was kind of in denial about the smell, thinking it would go away when I went to uni, but it did not. I am someone with a fast metabolism, so I used to eat a lot of junk food and fizzy drink everyday because I never got any fatter and was depressed. Combine that with giving up playing sports, I was not not helping the issue. Honestly, I do not know if I can live everyday following this ridiculous diet. I will probably give it up after graduating. Then I will eat whatever the heck I want to eat and people can just shove it up their ass.

Thanks for the reply bean, it's useful to know the foods you have been eating. Well done on keeping up the diet so far! At least when you do add more foods back into your diet you will be in a better position to know some of the trigger foods. You have done really well to see some improvement in odour after one month on a restrictive diet after suffering for so long. Good luck for when you return to university!

well shit. I blew it. Binged out on a lot of junk food. UGH. I'll start again on Thursday. lol. Oh man I could cry. I'm really sorry you broke the diet. Sometimes it does some good to give in. It can be very disheartening to see evryone else eating whatever they want and having to deny ourselves food for very little gain. I have done the exact same thing this weekend and binged on lots of sugar, all my hard work over the last 4 months is ruined but I feel much better for it at the moment since the candida diet wasn't working for me anyway. It helped to reduce my problems caused by candida such as thrush etc, but did nothing to prevent the fecal odor. Do you have a treat food that is good for your diet that you could go to in emergencies? Like raspberries (low in sugar) or homemade crispbreads (using just water and buckwheat flour or coconut flour). Both flours are okay on the candida diet because coconut is an antifungal and buckwheat is a prebiotic feeding good bacteria. This might help prevent massive relapse back into the old diet.

I have this same issue with fecal body odor and I just started the diet... I suggest you do it too. @hope: Your diet is not working because you eat meat. Meat, diary, sugar, lots of carbs, alcohol, and smoking of cigarettes are to be AVOIDED BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY.

Ok I went on a strict diet for only two days. I was just eating little bit of fruit and veg. Then I had to go to my sisters graduation ceremony after the two days. I was inside a packed courtroom. But could not smell anything....e_e and usually I can smell my odour. But two days seems way too short to of just made the smell go away.
In those two days I took probiotics, fiber pills and B2. I also did 1/2 hr on the treadmill - running every two minutes, walking every two minutes.
I dont know though. .... No one held their noses, or looked at me and I didn't hear anyone say the word "smell." But then again. I had managed to get myself a seat on the side of the room ,right at the end of the row with an empty seat next to me and then my dad on the next one. No one behind me because they were side seats. So there were only two people close to me and they were about 1 1/2 chairs away from me.
I don't know If im looking too far into their actions. But the man closest to me kept fidgeting, stretching, said something to his wife. Sometimes he held his hand up by his face, like resting, but not his nose and he only did this twice during the 45 minutes. It might just have been because it was cold inside and the ceremony was long. But on the other hand everyone else could keep still... Or so I think...Ugh, maybe I still smelt but just couldn't smell it? All I could smell was other peoples perfumes though... And the last graduation thing of my sisters I went to I could smell a very strong fecal body odour smell. It's so confusing.
I was going to ask my dad, but he would lie to me to save my feelings. And he is getting kind of old anyway and I think my family can not smell me because I am always around them? Anyway I think I saved myself by moving away from other peoples perfume. As soon as I am by someone who wears perfume it smells so bad. I don't know if I should get my hopes up or not.

jcc34Umm my approach to the fodmap diet wasn't that organized. I pretty much followed the no-sugar diet and ate the things that were low in fructose, which explains why I basically ate oatmeal half the time. I did eat fruit, but I only ate the fruit that was considered acceptable in moderation in this table www.healthhype.com/nutrition-guide-for-fructose-malabsorption.htmlThe list also explains why I try to avoid brown rice because it is considered high in fructose on the table. And, yes I was following the no-sugar diet that was made up by Lisa, Any chance you could post the link to Lisa's diet?

I have noticed that I have this foul smell/scent whenever I eat white rice. Other rice like parboiled and brown rice are okay, but white rice gives me this bad odor. I have stopped eating it at times to be sure it was the cause of the smell and sure, after eating it again the foul odor returned; it lingers on for quite some time. I DO NOT KNOW WHY!!!!
