Hi Mm, I plan to bring the messages across later as an Archive. I am just checking if this is okay. It should be because the site actually belonged to us!
However, I will do the archive when I get lots of free time (in 6 weeks time).
MM, if you join this site as a member and PM me, I will show you how you can get your bookmarks.

Hi Patois, I found this in the Admin panel under Paid Features:- 1 Want to access your ProBoards forum with your own custom domain name? Instead of using breathandbodyodour.proboards.com for your forum URL, you could use your-domain.com! We can link your existing domain name to your ProBoards forum for for $14/year. Please note that domain name registrars charge a yearly fee to own a domain name. These fees are separate from the service we offer. 2 ProBoards offers you the ability to change your forum URL. Maybe the topic of your forum has changed, or perhaps you’ve decided on a new name for your community. Whatever the reason, you now have the option to change your forum URL from old-forum-name.proboards.com to new-forum-name.proboards.com while keeping all of your content and members. Please note that there is a one time fee of $10.00 for this service. Also, if you want the next generation forum, there is a Proboards Version 5 Beta sign-up:- www.proboards.com/beta/If interested, Google it and tell us if it sounds good! I must admit, I prefer the simplicity of this site. The Admin Panel of VBulletin had way too many options for my liking. I felt like I was in the cabin of a Boeing 747 and would sooner fly a microlight! I would sooner focus on Breath and Body Odour postings than do a PhD in web site design! ;D

They are charging the domain name feature which other major sites do for free. I could contribute the $14 if you'd want to use bodyodorsupport.com for this site. You'll have to manage it with your domain registrar first though.
Everyone else seems to enjoy the look and usability here, cheers.

Patois, thanks for the offer but I don't want to keep the old name for this site. It was BodyOdorSupport.com and that name doesn't mention breath.
In reality, we used the old name to cover all kinds of odour including breath odour. However, there are many people who looked at the old name and automatically assumed it was just about body odour!
I want us to tackle both breath and body odour on this site and have included these topics in different sub forums. However, for those of us on this site who suffer both of these issues, there is likely to be a link between the two, and in these cases they won't be separate issues. In these cases, dealing with the breath odour (eg through diet) may reduce the body odour (vice versa).

Godlovesus, Yes, I pray to god to guide us and help us find the answers we need. Even though it appears at times as though god has abandoned us, I feel god really loves us and wants us to succeed in our aims. He has brought us all together in one place so that we can think as a team. Now it is up to us to experiment and make the effort to actively seek solutions.
Some people have succeeded in greatly reducing or getting rid of their odours. What I want to know is why the treatments they used cure them but do not cure others. In this way, maybe we will be able to predict who will be helped by certain treatments and who won't. For example, did these people who got cured have SIBO (small intestinal bowel overgrowth) rather than a metabolic disorder?
Does anyone have any other hypothesis why some people got cured of their breath or body odour but others didn't?

Does anyone have any other hypothesis why some people got cured of their breath or body odour but others didn't? I have some thoughts on this Arun. Do we have a lot of info on people like this? There isn't too much in the success stories section, It'd be useful to have a good look at. I think tough, adaptable bacteria are one possibility. Maureen started a number of threads on bacteria on the last forum talking about methods bacteria have of surviving (spore forming, persistor cells etc), bacteria developing resistance to antibiotics. Certain strains of bacteria may just be very hard to get rid of, Candida might be one of these (a yeast but same situation). People with weak immune systems may also be prone to recurrent dysbiosis. As well as people with other unaddressed issues affecting gut flora like constipation, food allergies or leaky gut. Other possibilites could be genetic defects like weak livers and enzymes. Possibly our society has focussed on attacking microbes too much creating stronger microbes and weaker immune systems to deal with them, I heard there's a lot to be said for letting kids play in the dirt!
