Organic RAW Food Diet
Haven't been on in a while, and I'm happy to report some successes and failures. First----AH! success! I went on a raw food diet for a month and noticed a huge difference in my odor. It had lessened considerably, to the point that a guy I was seeing started sniffing me all over to find my odor ( I know how this sounds, a little crazy!) and he couldn't find it. I could walk in the sun, and then into close quarters with people without the looks, gestures, eyes, you know, the usual. In conjuction with the raw food diet, I took my vitamins (C, B-complex, Muilti, Cinniman, pro biotic) I pooped like three times a day (glorious!). After I came off the diet, the odor returned, and so did the looks and gestures. I'm currently working my way back on the diet, which is really tough for me because I'm so greedy! I also found a work from home job that pays enough to cover a few bills for me. If you live in US or Canada message me and I will give the info.
Failures -- I've gained weight, eating a horrible diet, and feeling a little down about it. I need a little help getting back on the raw food diet. If anyone is interested or has tried it with success please share the good news. If anyone wants to try it will me, let me know so we can work on a menu. It is a challenge, but its worth it.

I noticed the change about 3 weeks into the diet. Have you worked out a menu yet? Thats the most important part, thats why I came off the diet, I didn't have a realistic menu that included all the nutrients needed for the day. I need a little help with that.

Solo, I want to try raw food diet.
Did you feel hungry all the time when you were on raw food diet?
I can think of food like carrot and celery are "safe" for us to eat.
Perhaps vegetable (what kind of veggies?) and fruit (what kind of fruits?) smoothies for breakfast and lunch?

Re: Organic RAW Food Diet
Some of the foods I at were, lots of spinach. Almost everyday I had a spinach salad with tomatos, cucumber, and beets. This diet is expensive so I modified where I could. The diet does allow some cooked foods like veggie soups, brown rice and veggies that must be cooked. I ate a lot of dried fruits and nuts to curb the hunger. Once you get all the starches out your system, you pretty much ok, the hunger isn't that intense. Apples and carrots are a must, helps with hunger, if you have a juicer, it may help. Herbal teas are also a must. Some of the bad things I ate also was plain yogurt, with fruit, onions and garlic. Also I drank ginger tea. Things a avoided, milk, eggs, meat, cheese. The menu is the hardest part, and I do need help with that.

I haven't really worked out a nutrition plan, I used to eat alot of spinach and nuts to make me feel fuller, but it didn't seem to be working and I read somewhere that spinach and nuts are a no no for the tmau diet. Lately i've been eating lots of rice with a plain romaine salad on the side, carrots and baked potatoes. For snacking I eat alot of celery sticks, bananas, strawberries or cherries. I was doing good for about four days and then I relapsed today and had some cake and ice cream, only because I was around other people and didn't want to be the only one not eating. I took some laxatives as soon as I got home so hopefully it won't throw me out of wack. Hopefully this diet thing works out for me cause i'm getting frustrated trying all these different methods and not having any positive results.

Re: Organic RAW Food Diet
Hi Negro,
Please try to eliminate white rice from your diet. It causes odor. There is a test you can try, to see how some foods will affect your odor. Let the foods that you want to eat expire, go bad, or rot. Then take a whiff, if they smell too horrible, stop eating it, because that's how it smells in your gut. Try it with a potato. I use to eat potatos everyday.
I've also notice something else on this diet, I'm always thirsty. Is anyone else experiencing thirst?

Well this gives me hope that if I just stick to a diet it will work. Definitely going to try and give this one a go. Do you think fruits like oranges and mandarins are ok? Sometimes I go through more then 10 mandarins a day. No self control. I hope this kicks in before university starts again for me. Stupidly I ate mcdonalds today after so long without any take away. Ughhh.
Im really happy you have had success with the diet Solo. Im sure things will start to pick up again for you! Good luck!

Re: Organic RAW Food Diet
Thank you for the encouragement. Try not to fall off the diet if you don't get the results you want right away. In some cases it took years for our bodies to get into this state, so I would think it would take some time to get out. Potatos are a big no no. Some spirits/alcohols are derived from fermented potatos. The starch alone is bad for you. If you place a potato in a plastic bag and let it rot, the smell is really bad.
Fruits and Veggies don't process in our bodies the same way fats, starches, and proteins do. The fermentation of Fruits and Veggies produce enzymes that help with food digestion and move them quickly through our digestive system.

Hi Solo
Why are potatoes so bad - the starch? They're natural foods that you can eat raw or semi raw too. I'd think it would depend on the individual and what food types they have problems with.

Hi Solo! I’m interested in that raw diet. So you eat fresh fruits and vegetables? In the candida diet which I have started yesterday prevents me from eating fruits because of the fructose (fruit sugar). What do you eat for your protein needs?

Yes, I beleive the starch from the potato is bad. There are more nutritionally benificial choices of starch. And potats just smell bad when they rot. I don't believe potatos are the enemy, but, eliminating them from your diet couldn't hurt.

Hi Asian,
Stay on the Candida diet and don't modify. Its important that you pick a diet and stick withit for a period of time so you can find out what works for you. I would at least give it 4 months.
For protein, I mainly eat beans but there a various veggies that offer small amounts of protein. Flax seed also offers protein, although I haven't eaten much of it.

Hi Asian
Not under all interpretations of the Candida diet you have to eliminate fruit. It really depends if fructose gives you a problem or not, which you can try to figure out. If you don't, then you could have it on a restricted basis, but then if you're working with a professional maybe you should follow their advice.

Hi Jax.the.Max. I know how difficult it is to work and be around people who will scorn you because of this condition. You might want to consider working from home. You can put up your own business with being around your own staff only to deal with. They will be the ones to go out and do the leg work for you. You are the boss so how can they scorn you right? Or you might want to do home-based call center job. This is a link that will show you the different kinds of call center home-based jobs available. moneyning.com/make-money/15-ways-to -earn-extra-money/. Or you may register at Odesk . I firmly believe this will work BUT this is very difficult. no meat no carbo you will lose a lot of weight and this may not be healthy long term. I think a nutritionist is needed.
I think elimination diet is the key. Reintroducing food back then see which makes you smell.

peco99
Hi peco99 raw dieters eat fresh fruits, vegetables and beans. im on a candida diet. Some candida diet plans do not include fruit because of the fructose (fruit sugar). The goal of the candida diet is to stay away from sugar to kill the candida/fungi which feed on it. I eat vegetables. I eat chicken and beef for my protein needs. I have browsed over the choline diet. I'm staying away from fish, eggs, beans, etc.
Hi Pupung. Thanks for the concern. I know it is hard but we would just have to keep on trying whatever is out there that worked for other people. Hopefully this would work. I'm thinking of taking grape seed extract too because it kills fungi/candida or probiotics. So far I have found out that fish and eggs make my smell stronger.

I'm all for your raw food diet. It's very similar to the sugar-free diet. I would like to suggest, though, that you try eating fish, oats sweetened with apple sauce (sugar-free) and occassionally eggs. Also, don't eat corn or corn products and all of the starchy vegetables (potatoes, rice and beans) should be eaten in moderation.

Re: Organic RAW Food Diet
To those following the anti candida diet, because they think they may have a fungal overgrowth...
I read in a candida diet book that if you just starve yourself of sugar and dont take any anti candida medication or supplements, they can 'change their food sourse from sugar to protein.' That stuck in my memory as something that is worth noting, because I did exactly that, prior to reading the book .......

Hi Wonder1
I know some bacteria and yeasts are supposed to eat protein, I've never heard of Candida eating it. Bear in mind gut flora isn't well understood and there are mixed opinions on Candida. Your book might be incorrect - which book is it?

To Working on it: I agree fruit lessens the bad smell on the skin. That I found out after trying which vegetables and fruits work for me. I even think fruits leave a sweet smell on the skin. I recommend that to everyone.
To: Lisa M., Wonder 1 and JCC34 thank you for the input. Hhmm So do you think I need to get tested first for high level of fungus in my body then consult a doctor for candida medication before completely staying away from sugar to prevent candida from start feeding on my protein intake?

Re: Organic RAW Food Diet
I ate a raw food diet for two years. I think the reason this type of eating so great is because of the nutrients you get from the raw food. Cooking destroys enzymes and other nutrients in food. Raw food tends to be nutient dense. Also the roughage really helps with elimination. The key with a raw food diet is to NOT eat too many nuts and dried fruits, which are drying. They are also filling, which is why newbies tend to over do them. Also key is to eat fresh greens daily. I live near a few raw food cafes and it's easy to get caught up in the dishes and forget about "doing the greens."
There are several great raw food websites and forums on the internet. I wish I could go back to it but it much too expensive right now.

jcc34, Sorry for the time-lag getting back on the book details....This quote is from 'Beat candida through diet' by Gill Jacobs....."there is other research to suggest that restricting carbohydrates without anti-fungal therapy can casue the candida to move deeper withintissue layers. It can adjust its metabolism from carbohydrate to protein, producing ennzymes which digest protein, at the same time changing into mycelial (fungal) form. Thus fungi become tissue invasive as they go foraging for new sources of food' (Candida and Gut Dysbiosis Information Newsletter, january, Vol2, No.2,page 1, summarising untranslated German research.)"
I remember I did try to look up the reference they gave for it at the time I first read it, but I cant remember why I didnt get much luck with it - probabaly because it was in German!
Please feel free to criticize this, Im just a lay person trying to teach myself about all this stuff and its very possible I read things and take away the wrong message sometimes. Im learning

Not under all interpretations of the Candida diet you have to eliminate fruit. It really depends if fructose gives you a problem or not, which you can try to figure out. If you don't, then you could have it on a restricted basis, but then if you're working with a professional maybe you should follow their advice.
Thank you for the info

For protein, I mainly eat beans but there a various veggies that offer small amounts of protein. Flax seed also offers protein, although I haven't eaten much of it.
Thank you for the info

I've had significant success on a fruit only diet, but now that it's summer very little seems to help once I start sweating.

Great posts on raw food diet

Im learning
