I don't like to use antiperspirants. But, I found that using head and shoulders as an armpit wash is very effective.

I was on this site a couple of weeks ago looking for a solution but nothing worked. I have since used an all natural product I saw on Shark Tank- piper wai. It works!!! Really! I was skeptical but ordered anyway. It is a little strange because it is like playdoh texture & you have to scoop out a pea sized amount & rub it into your pits. But I have not had that onion smell since! It has a gingery smell to it. I think it was about $40- but so worth it. I hope this helps some of you. I know this is an embarrassing problem & my heart goes out to all of you.

Not a problem, Lobster Girl! Give the head and shoulders a try and let me know if if works for you. You don't have to use much, and for me it lasts all day as long and I don't have to use any antiperspirant or deodorant. Anybody else who tries this, please post if it works for you too!

I've suffered since the age of 12, and I am now in my forties. Chlorophyll has not worked for me, but I have found some relief in the vaginal area from taking Fortify for Women probiotics and using the Refresh suppositories. Failing to take the tablet for two days results in the odor returning. In regards to my underarm onion odor, NOTHING HAS WORKED. This is sooooo embarrassing! People often make rude comments, wrinkle their noses, and spray air freshners/perfumes. I have had underarm Botox treatment, tried Certain Dri (and all of the new commercial Napalm level deodorants), vinegars, baking soda, essential oils, coconut oil, bleach, Hibiclens, Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, sea salt, table salt, lemons, limes, milk of magnesia, clay, witch hazel, vodka, 91% isopropyl alcohol, peroxide, hand sanitizer, Castille soap, regular soap, and no soap. Nothing has worked! Did I mention nothing has worked? At this point, I am thinking about posing as a "hippie" in order to have an acceptable social alibi for my onion fragranced underarms! For me it is exteremly disheartening to know other people presume that I lack good hygiene. This couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, I bathe multiple times daily, and touch up my armpits throughout the day. Unfortunately, after showering and towel drying, my underarms still smell of onions. As a bonus, my towel also wreaks of onion. Mind you, I only use a towel once before laundering it. Oh yes, laundry is another issue. I frequently trash clothing because I cannot remove the horrific odor. A dry cleaner once told me I should not wear my suits several times before bringing them in for dry cleaning them. I smiled and advised him that I dry clean after each use. He turned as red as an apple and said "oh my". His sincere suggestion was appreciated. Thank you for allowing me to share; this has been cathartic and somewhat therapeutic. Unfortunately, this is not an issue I discuss with others face-to-face due to embarrassment on my part and an inability to relate by non-onion odor suffers (OOS). I THANK EVERYONE IN THIS FORUM FOR SHARING. Has anyone realized success with anything outside of the few items I have already tried (simultaneously sarcastic and serious). I look forward to receiving your suggestions. PLEASE HELP

I also have been struggling from "onion/BO" armpits no matter what I did. Can somebody please confirm that the Donna Karan deo works before I go and spend money on it? (It's quite expensive and I'd really like some more confirmation)
Thank you a million!

Well, I know this is a few years late, but I just want to add my comments and experience. I am a woman who still mensturates... i hardly eat onions and apart from very dark chocolate, my refined (and most sugar) intake is very, very minimal. I do not eat processed foods as everything I make is from scratch. I'm mystified as i only started to notice the smell the last few months when I started hot power yoga again. I have not used an antiperspirant for many years as I don't believe it is good for you. if I do use a deoderant I try to buy one that has no nasties. I'm baffled and embarassed lol
any one come up with any other solutions?

Ok- it has been over 3 weeks since I have been using that natural product Piper Wai. I have not had the onion odor again. I even used it while wearing my fleece long johns (my top would just absorb the onion odor!) and no more onion odor! I am so happy with this new product- I have told several friends (they don't have odor issues but just want an natural product). The ingredients are things like- tapioca starch, coconut oil, Shea butter, rose flower water, baking soda, charcoal powder, 11 essential oils. I am curious to hear from any one else who tries it. It it pretty much a miracle for me

Miradry worked dorky armpits make sure they properly measure your your arm and treat you in the highest setting level 5. Nothing less! I still have the onion odor in my groin but I'm odorless now up top! I didn't even have to wear deodorant. I was just like you all and tried everything and went to many docs and specialist and nothing worked. Whatever you guys name I most likely tried it twice. Anything from detoxes to prescription deodorants, to raw diets and antibacterial creams. Drysol, electrolysis, alcohol, vinegar, antibacterial soaps, the even the infamous Dona Karen deodorant! My odor has orbit to do with bacteria. No overgrowth, no excessive sweating. My sweat that comes from my apocrine glands are just pungent period. Even when I'm bone dry under my arms I used to smell. Dot let the docs tell you you're crazy because me and my sister suffer from the same issue. If underarm odor is your issue let Mirady fix it please.

Hello readers. I am new to this site. Recently I actually woke up because of a PROFOUND ONION SMELL, from my armpits. Mind you I have had this STINK sporadically in the past. I am female, age 60. Back in the vegetarian day for moi, I literally stunk from Indian curry based food, in particular Fenuegreek in all its forms. No longer a vegetarian for decades, I still suffer from the onion stink on occasion. May I recommend washing your pits with VO 5 Kiwi clarifying shampoo, Suave or Nuetrogena clarifying shampoo, in essence any CLARIFYING shampoo may greatly help. Also, for the Men, may I recommend that you trim/clip your armpit hair QUITE SHORT. Onion stink (for me ) is accompanied with a very greasy/ oily film. This film really clings to the armpit hair and skin and deodorant soap DOES NOT remove the "film" , it does not cut the greasy film and despite vigorous washing.............. nine times out of ten, it is a temporary fix and we still are stinky. aahhhhhhh!!!! Vo5 clarifying shampoo is excellent for the genital region too, for Women and Men. You do not need much, expect nice fresh results. Thank you all for listening, I wish you the BEST.
