thank you, thank you Thank you. My daughter has the body odor since she was three. It has gotten worst. Now she is thirteen and told me that nobody will eat lunch with her because she stinks. Desperate I bought the donna karen deodorant. It worked on first application. Her room smell better, she smells wonderful. You will never know how much I appreciate the advice. And for the lady on the fixed income. It was 24.97 at Macy's It will last about the same amount of time 4 over the counter deodorants. It was worth every dime. It will pay for itself in the end. I am a believer.

The best medicine is to before you go to bed wash your armpit , and after you dried it with towel, use lemon cot into quarters and rub your armpit very good with lemon. Do not dry it . Also drinking enough water is good.

I can confirm the onion smell is a yeast infection. Yes men get it as well as women, its just a fungus from overgrowth in the gut, bacteria etc etc.
The hard part is killing that fungus. I just started a baking soda regimen cuz I did go to my doc and she did prescribe Diflucan etc, and didn't work.
So now I'm going the baking soda route.

Just use alcohol to clean them. Cost less than $3. All deodorant does is clog your pores and cover the smell up. Making the prob worse.

After being burdened with this issue for years I still don't quite know the source of my issue but some of the suggestions I've seen posted here have given me a great ideas on a few potential culprits, Anyway to inject my 2 cents the subject I've found that I suffer funk on one side or the other rather then both most times and after an intensive shower Mitchum deodorant seems to work pretty well.

It's diet. I smelled it for the first time today when I woke up before I showered and googled it because it's the only way I could describe it. I didn't eat anything with onions yesterday. I did have an abnormal amount of sugar and felt like my blood sugar was all out of whack yesterday, though. So, if any of you are wondering what it is look at that. Apparently it's enough to make someone who's never had that problem actually have it.

You know what really helps is Doctor Bronners body wash. Its not only helpful with taking away body odor, but it also feels awesome when you use it, incredibly revitalizing. That and try exercising to sweat out any toxins by doing some cardio on a regular basis.

I recently tried a body scrub with baking soda and lemon all over my body. I thought "why not try it on the armpits?" So I made a think paste of baking soda and lemon juice and put it under my armpits for about 5 minutes before scrubbing it with a half of lemon and rinsing it. Usually my armpits would begin to smell after about half and hour, especially If I skipped deodorant right away. Well after the baking soda and lemon scrub, I noticed that the odour is non-existent--even after a hard day's work in a polyester uniform.

I have already posted to the Success Stories, but I will post here as well for anyone wanting to give it a try. Long story short a lot of time BO is caused by bacteria that feed on sweat, not the sweat itself. Antiperspirants don't kill bacteria. I found tea tree oil, which does kill bacterial and it has been a miracle worker for me! Find a deodorant that has it or make your own. My response on the Success Stories thread: I can't believe how long it took me to find a solution. I'm a twenty something petite girl. I've always eaten pretty healthy and been athletic, but ever since I hit puberty I've always had smelly armpits. It didn't matter what kind of deodorant or antiperspirant I used, or how active I was that day, I would always eventually get BO. It was super embarrassing and I didn't know what to do about it. I showered every morning and every time I exercised, but I would find myself going into the bathroom during the day to wipe down my armpits with soap and water because I'd notice about mid day that my deodorant was starting to smell funky. I eventually got so fed up that I started scouring the internet for solutions. Thats when I found out that its actually bacteria that causes the smell (I always thought that it was sweat that smelled!) and antiperspirants don't actually do anything about the bacteria. So I started to look into ways to kill the bacteria and found that there are several herbs and plants that have natural antibacterial properties. One that seemed to get a lot of attention was tea tree oil. I had heard about it before, my brother used an antidandruff shampoo that had tea tree oil in it so I started washing my armpits with that in the morning. It didn't seem to help. So I searched for deodorants that used it and found several different options. I tried one out and to my amazement it actually worked!! No armpit odor all day! I switched to a new brand because while the first one I tried worked it was gritty and kind of irritating. The one I'm using now is called Nina Beana (ninabeana.com) and it works just as well and I absolutely love the smell of it! A bit more expensive than deodorants I've bought in the past (I think it's around $8), but its totally worth it to not smell anymore! So there it is tea tree oil... its magic! Try wiping your armpits with Heinz Cider Vinegar, daily, 2x, for a week. This will work! The vinegar smell wears off and it certainly isn't as bad as the onion/garlic door.....also good for smelly feet...wipe daily with the vinegar and throw out the shoes!!
